Note to self: If I ever decide to hire a helicopter pilot to drop promotional items on the field at halftime, make sure to have radio communication with said pilot so I can tell him to bugger the f*** off when the game restarts! Oh, and it might be good to interview the helicopter crew beforehand. Here's a good question: "Do you think you can tell the difference between a field full of small children and a soccer match in progress?"

If you missed it, it was really something to see. The teams are trying to play, and here comes the helicopter for a second and third pass, dropping stuffed cow dolls onto the field, while people on the ground are frantically trying to wave it off! Finally, someone in the 'copter must have actually looked down, because it flew over without dropping anything, then came around again as if it wanted to be absolutely sure, then finally flew off.

At any other game, this would have been merely hilarious. But to happen on national TV? Sheesh.

Between Rod Underwood's continued employment, cutting Godfrey Tenoff, and now this, it really makes you wonder if someone has secretly replaced the CCS FO with a troop of chimpanzees.

How embarrassing! I wish I was there to see it!

This is just the latest in a long series of mickey mouse crap. I wish the club would just focus on the football and creating a club, and matchday experience, that real football fans would enjoy and not be embarrassed by.

At half time, "me and my mate" went out into the parking area beside the stadium to grab a pint. We saw the helo overhead dropping the cows and said, "Those aren't going to make in in!' We grabbed about 10 of the 12 that landed outside. These were the test drops.

The cheese on a stick was great, as always! "Bovine" enjoyed his as well, so he did make it in for the 2d half!

I thought it was you at first. But then you came on and made a screen name. I'm still not convinced it's not.

Anyway, having multiple accounts is against the ToS here. You are, however, allowed to change your user name.

I had DVR'd it, and originally I was going to try to get it up on YouTube but, well, the video just wasn't worth the hassle. You don't really see much of anything, mostly players standing around while something off-screen is delaying them. There's one shot of a player tossing a cow off the field and that's it. The announcer does say something about "stoppage time due to falling cows", but that's as amusing as it gets.
