I still have hope for Gio. I don't say it is official until I see it from him, his dad or the website... Until then, Gio give us that GC trophy.
Someone tell me this is not happening. Son of a ***** I don't believe this. Why Gio, why this way. *Jim Ross Voice off*
Gio rustled the jimmies of BSMX. But according to ESPN, Villarreal still has to accept the offer. It is possible that they can say "no deal", especially if Gio has an astounding, superb, godlike Gold Cup performance and gets offers from some other club in Europe. Small chance, I know, but it's looking more likely Gio will have heavy pockets this season
To all the cry babies, what did you expect? Is Gio just going to out of nowhere be made of steel and tear up la liga or premier league? No he isn't, let him gain some form in MLS and hope to migrate back to Europe in the future. He can technically get loaned out during MLS downtime? The dude is getting paid, everyone in this forum would take that pay increase.
I don't get why everyone would hate this move, either. If he plays, doesn't get injured, he'll be in great form. He has always had average seasons because he always picks up small injuries. I can't remember a season when he hasn't been out due to some sort of injury. This could potentially be a good move for him. He isn't going back to Mexico at least to take up a spot for a young Mexian player, he'll be doing that to a US player. We have to remember that players like Donovan played there when it was a far worse league and he always caused trouble for Mexico in his young days. His skillset and talent won't go away.
Only 7 million? Isn't Chicharito getting offered 10 million by some MLS teams? Dang, apart from going to a crappy league, my dude is getting ripped off lol
