True but Araujo is close in regards size and speed. Or at least he appears that way.

Kevin Alvarez is more athletic than Sanchez. I don't know if he's better, but he's more athletic. Doesn't matter anyway. Tata likes who he likes and the opportunity to become a part of that group seems incredibly small.

Maybe Loroña, he is a good athlete and has good height for a right back.

This guy got absolutely abused in Olympic Qualifiers against U23s. I think it’s more of the same as with Efra: we need to keep in mind that some of these guys have directly benefited at some point from the USMNT hype train and may not necessarily be as good as reported.

True, but he also just turned 20. Alvarez just turned 19 this past summer as well. The positive is that both Araujo and Ochoa were the youngest players on that US U23 team and were playing up a cycle as they can both play with Mexico in next olympics.

Hmmm. Taking this and Jona's departure into account, I guess we need a name change.

@sidspaceman could you please rename this thread to "Chicharito, Efraín Álvarez, Julián Araujo and Richard Sánchez @ LA Laxatives"?

    Thanks in advance.

Richard Sánchez hasn’t been relevant since the youth world cups. I don’t see why he should be a feature in this thread.

    MLS - February 27, 2022:

LA Galaxy: Julián Araujo (20, DF) and Javier Hernández (33, FW) played the full match while Efraín Álvarez (19, MF) was subbed in at the 67th minute of a 1–0 win against New York City. Hernández scored the game winner.

    Can anyone remove Jona, please?

Chicharito deserves a call back to la selección. Man has put in the work and it shows.

He still has the skill and would be great as a super sub.

Does LA play a backline of 4? Maybe in a backline of 5 he'll do better. We're going to need something out of the ordinary like that or otherwise we're going to suffer Azteca or no Azteca. Hell the kid himself might shit his pants there.

Hernández (33, FW), who got a yellow, and Álvarez (19, MF) played 86 minutes while Araujo (20, DF) and Aguirre (22, MF) were respectively subbed in at the 66th and 86th minutes.
