i will admit, the only positive i see coming out of this is the possiblity of having a fun to watch CCL, with gerrard, keane and gio visiting mexico. wouldn't watch them play another MLS team though, i've tried recently with my brother and its dreadful stuff.
Financially it makes sense, and I totally agree with him on that end, however speaking about futbol terms, I'm saddened. Overall as long as he brings it when he comes to play with the NT I could care less where he plays as long as he plays great when he puts on the verde.
I am the bitch yet you came crying like a little girl talking about how Gio is going to make bank when that's even going to matter, is that going to make him a better player in a shit league? No Take his cock out of your mouth, he ain't paying you to suck his dick so take that money argument somewhere else haha
someone of you people here are pathetic , so what if gio plays in the MLS. most of the USA team play in the MLS and are considered better than mexico. i bet if gio went to play in some random European country(LATVIA)most people would be happy as long as is not the " terrible MLS " gio gets benched in villareal hes not as good as many of you think i dont care where he goes , as LONG AS HE PLAYS . Some of you would want gio in madrid even if he played 5 minutes every match so you call brag and live vicariously through him
What's up with stupid people always thinking we want to live "vicariously" through our players? Ahah like really? No, is it so hard to understand that we just want our players to play in the best teams and leagues in the World because we want to have a great Mexican National team?
That's a tough one, if Gignac would have gone to a top tier MX club, then hands down it would be Gio to MMLS.
Me thinks Gignac is worst For one, he was playing and performing at what could be considered a "top" club in his league. Look at his numbers the previous 3 seasons and its 18, 22, and 23 goals. thats pretty good. Meanwhile Gio has done reasonably well at a more modest clubs in Mallorca and Villareal. I don't think Gio is as recognizable of a figure in la liga as Gignac was in France Clearly Liga MX is a better product than MLS at this point, but the drop off from being a well known commodity in France to going to Tigres is more drastic than Gio a journeyman type player going to MLS IMO. But MX fans are like "omg what an ambitious move for the league" yet get mad when the french press laughs at our league or say Gignac is going the early retirement route. Yet they turn around and say the same shit about Gio to MLS. Kinda ironic. I think.
Because of a few friendly wins? Only dumb asses really think this, don't know much about fut, or who are sucking mls cawk. At best they are even.
Nothing like each other except in your mind. Liga MX for all its shortcoming is rated a top ten league, MLS is not even in the top quarter. MLS has never, ever won a continental championship even though concacaf has bent the rules for them and is always played in the US. Liga MX is unique in domination in the world of continental competitions. Liga MX plays Libertadores and has done decent when they have taken it seriously. So stop talking out of you @SS 'cause you're just trolling.
I've never said that MLS is better than Liga MX. I've simply said that going from a 20 goal scorer at Marseille to Tigres is a bigger fall than being just a nice player at Villareal. Top 10? lol Its cool that Tigres has gone this far in this Libertadores but are we suppose to forget how crap Mexican teams have been for the past 5 yrs or so there? Pls. Look up the record. google it.
Why don't you re-read my post, c'mon aren't you a journalism major? Reading should be your thing. Liga MX has a decent record against other leagues, with the exception of Brazil.
Said it before and say it again. Arguing over what is the better league ( MLS vs liga MX) is like arguing who is the smartest retarded person. They both suck.
