I understand that, but for the most part people have brushed off Hernandez for lacking certain qualities a complete striker has. While Jimenez isn't RVP or Suarez, he fits the mold of those world class strikers. I could say Jimenez is the best Mexican player currently whereas I was never sure Hernandez was the best at any point outside of maybe 2010.

    I mean, he's not wrong.

He's talking specifically about how LigaMX markets itself (or doesn't) internationally.

Their social media game alone does not compare to what MLS has been doing.

As far as how much MLS has grown and how close it is to LigaMX, well, they're two different business models but the results on the field speak for themselves.

At the end of the day, the Galaxy is paying him a ton of money and they courted him for a number of reasons. Not sure what anyone would expect him to say.

MLS does have more international exposure mainly because of the big name signings - Beckham, Zlatan, Rooney, Gerard, David Villa, etc.

That doesn’t make it a better league though. Only that it has more of a following because of all the big name players going there to retire

Following is not the right word, I'd say Recognition because of the big name players.

The "soccer" league in the US is only known because it is considered a retirement league. MLS supporters will argue left and right but look the most recent CH14. Dude was in tears because in his words "it is the beginning of the end of my career". Look at Ibra, had no qualms about calling the MLS what it was. Beckham, Rooney,Giovinco, etc. etc.. all at the "end" of their careers.

And that’s the end of his career... Oh well, I was rooting for the kid, but I don’t think he’ll amount to much after all.
