I was hoping to go, but the prices were ridiculous. Even now, $84 per ticket? I love my seleccion and I've never gotten to see it play, but I'd rather fly to Puerto Rico and watch there than pay all that money to Ticketmaster.
I still doubt he plays, or maybe he does. Now that Inter Messi and friends cannot win the Supporter's Shield (thanks to the Fire spanking their whiny asses 10 days ago!), maybe they don't care anymore. They have to win both matches to even have a shot at catching Cincinnati (assuming Cincy beats Montreal on "decision day 2025"). Good, let him play two international matches (well both against weak teams) in four days prior to going into the final week of the MLS' season. Now, it is a shame he also would not have to fly to Chicago and then fly back to Miami over the span of a couple of days. Hey, wait a minute, a better idea! He plays Friday in Miami with Argentina. Then plays Saturday with Miami. Then plays Monday with Argentina. That sounds like a good plan!
Just another day in the Trump's America. “We took the freedom of speech away, because that’s been through the courts, and the courts said you have freedom of speech but what has happened is when they burn the flag it agitates and irritates crowds,” Trump said during a roundtable on antifa. “I’ve never seen anything like it, on both sides, and you end up with riots.” https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...t-amendment-portland-free-speech/86589856007/ Yes, let's dispense with the First Amendment because of "Antifa" (which does not exist) and because some rightwing asshole claims to have been in a scuffle when trying to "stop" someone from burning a flag. By the way nobody was charged as a result of the scuffle.
Judge Perry didn't appear to give plaintiffs 100% of what they sought relief from, but the biggie is, Federal judge blocks Trump administration from deploying National Guard troops to Chicago https://www.chicagotribune.com/2025/10/09/trump-national-guard-restraining-order/ Of course, they are already deployed so now what? :
Simple answer is probably the correct one: nothing. Same for the judicial order not to use chemical weapons and projectiles against journow and protestors. Like, who is going to enforce it? Nobody.
https://chicago.suntimes.com/immigr...-facility-chicago-trump-rulings-fence-removed Now I'm not saying this is the deal in this instance, but there is one word I would suggest ya'll keep in mind: COINTELPRO
I can’t believe we let a private company take over nearly 30 miles of our streets for so many hours on the weekend. This is heresy.
The party of free speech. I would be interested in Pam Bondi's definition of "doxing.". If she means "releasing the home address" of agents, that is wrong. If she means "pointing out where agents might be, committing crimes against innocent people and some people who may have been accused of being in the country without authorization," AI do not think that fits the definition of doxing.
Also, not to be lost in all of this, but ******** Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg specifically for this shit. My guess is the “doxing” is just pointing out where ICE might be, I am in several of those groups, and other that have information regarding the ICE kidnappings, and for the most part, the scumbags are near impossible to identify. Republicans in general and Trumpsits in particular are honestly really good at taking words that mean one thing and reappropriating them to mean another - see “death tax” or “right to work state” or basically anything that comes out of their mouths for examples.
Speaker Johnson: "Most recently, the most threatening thing I've seen yet was the naked bicyclers in Portland who were protesting ICE down there. I mean, it's getting really ugly."But this isn't? pic.twitter.com/gACK4G7IOa— JB Pritzker (@JBPritzker) October 15, 2025
The further down I read on this excellently reported and accurate story about the alleged “doxing”, the more infuriated I became. https://blockclubchicago.org/2025/10/14/chicagoland-ice-sighting-page-taken-down-by-facebook-at-justice-departments-request/? Facebook might as well be part of the Trump government at this point.
They sort of are. From the article: Francis Brennan, a spokesperson for Facebook parent company Meta, said in a short statement that the page was taken down for “violating our policies against coordinated harm.” Brennan is a former 2020 Trump campaign advisor hired by Meta after Trump’s election to a second term. ... Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has aligned more closely with Trump since the president’s return to power. The company settled a $25 million lawsuit over the suspensions of Trump’s accounts following the Jan. 6 attacks on the U.S. Capitol. Meta also sent $1 million to Trump’s inaugural fund, canceled its diversity programs, got rid of fact-checkers and appointed Dana White, a close Trump ally and leader of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, to its board of directors.
Another day, just another day This is NOT normal! We cannot let this become normal. By the way, I agree with the "Stop calling everyone you disagree with a na-zi" sentiment. However, calling the actual ones that....?
