Biden's speech tonight was pretty moving. This has never happened before, no sitting president who had "won" the primary, stepped aside. LBJ stepped aside prior to the 1968 primaries. Eugene McCarthy was right on his heels and RFK was just announcing his candidacy. I think he made the right decision for himself, for the nation, and the future. He was an effective president and it was time to step aside. If we care about "legacy," he just cemented his (assuming nothing terrible happens in the next six months). Good for him.
Yes, and President Biden and VP Harris meet with B.N. tomorrow, not just to listen to a speech, but to have an actual conversation.
Yep. I can not imagine how THAT conversation will go. When Trump starts talking about electric boat batteries and sharks/electrocution, Netanyahu will just start shaking his head and wondering how easy it will be to manipulate the fool should Trump manage to regain the White House.

It seems as if Kamala learned a lot about campaigning and networking in the preceding three or four years. She has an energy.
Harris was doing pretty well in 2020 before Biden swooped in and knocked everyone out. I would not mind a Harris-Buttigieg ticket.
Harris' campaign was a mess after Summer 2019. She was good, her campaign was not. She did not have the infrastructure set up then. She does now. I would be thrilled with a Harris-Buttigieg ticket. Would it be a winning duo? Maybe, I am not sure. I would hope so, but there is still am awful lot of homophobia about this nation. Warren was my first choice in 2020. Harris was my second choice for 2020. Buttigieg was my third favorite (but not my choice as I didn't think he had a chance of winning. He did not have the experience at the time).

Kamala was my next to last favorite ahead of Joe Biden. Amy Klobuchar was my favorite with Mayor Pete second. Mayor Pete would make a great President.
I, too, think Pete would be a great President. If he is not VP candidate, I could see him as Secretary of State under a Kamala Harris presidency. I think that would suit him very well. I just could not "get behind" Senator Klobuchar in her bid. There was no particularly reason, other than there were candidates I preferred (Warren, Harris, Pete, Booker). Of course, I would vote for her given the chance, but she was not in my top three. As for last, my least favorite was Bloomberg (remember, he was actually leading for a short period of time). I can't stand him, but if he was the nominee, I would have voted for him. Second last was Tulsi Gabbard (she is just nuts and also second last to drop out). Biden was near the bottom of the list for me, as well. That said, he has been a remarkably effective President. I went to an Andrew Yang rally at UIC. It was bizarre. If the "Major" candidates (in that each actually earned some delegates) were: Klobuchar Warren Sanders Buttigieg Biden Bloomberg Gabbard I would rank them Warren Buttigieg Klobuchar Sanders Biden Bloomberg Gabbard

VP Kamala Harris has selected Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her VP pick. Would not have been my first choice, but he has been a decent giver and is a very effective communicator. A solid choice.
Thought for sure she would pick Shapiro…they must think he’s already doing enough for her to win the Penn delegates.
