The woman that used to hang pro-Bernie signs over the expressway but recently took a heel turn and fell down the rabbit hole from Trump to QAnon died of COVID. I usually don’t feel bad for the anti-mask, anti-vax dopes that take up a hospital bed before buying the farm- ******** them, they probably infected others while asymptomatic and they put a further strain on overworked hospital staff- but this lady does seem to have been taken advantage of a bit by the anti-vax scammers. Lin Wood freakin called the hospital telling them to give her the horse dewormer while thousands of his followers watched, and hospital staff got death threats as a result of the publicity. A simple solution for anyone that thinks they know how to treat COIVD better than hospital staff- stay the ******** out of the hospital! Seriously, just do whatever Joe Rogan or some random Inst influencer told you to do and keep hospital beds empty for those that believe doctors and nurses know best. FFS.
I definitely get this perspective. My initial reaction to the insurrection was to hang the traitors, then I saw this lady and realized a lot of these people are ignorant, morons being taken advantage of for political capital: On a side note. It turns out this particular lady wasn't even at the capitol, she was in Topeka, but the sentiment stuck.

But isnt that the roadmap? Capitalism -> Authoritarian state socialism --> communism. GDR was the in-between because no one managed so far to transform right to communism. Declaring GDR a way/move to the right is a bold claim to say the least. Just because it was autocratic doesnt make it any less left in its thinking. Kinda reminds of right-wingers explaining the nazis were actually lefties because they had "socialist" in their name. You know, denial like "they had nothing to do with us"

The political spectrum is a circle. The autocratic left/autocratic right meet at the end of each spectrum. For both, it's about power/control that's steeped in ideology to provide a facade of legitimacy for the raw exercise of control and power. Was wondering what the mood was in Germany today.
