Don’t Panic! https://www.fastcompany.com/9058029...id-19-heres-how-long-it-takes-to-get-infected But be safe.
Well I agree that people should change their behavior patterns for the pandemic like wearing a mask and using a lot of sanitizer. What I don't agree with is closing down small businesses while allowing the billion dollar corporations to stay open. Hell if restaurants could open to lower capacity to accommodate social distancing, everyone wears a mask till they get to the table, and they're forced to make a reservation 3 days in advance after getting a test then maybe they should be allowed to do it. But based on the intelligence level of most people that would probably be a big if. People are really ********ing dumb.
This is why protections are needed. However, I would not go so far as to say *******ing dumb (although many people are). I would say, short sighted and egocentric.
Sorry I was on vacation for two weeks. It might be from a pathological/psychological pov understandable that this dude has to redefine fascism in order to explain to himself why the world around him is so bad and racist but in a scientific context the whole premise of this article is nonsense: " Fascism is a socio-economic and political project and system of governing that began the moment Europeans first made contact with West African shores. " It also does not touch my argument that "labelling the other isle as fascists leads nowhere and doesn't win you any political points". Mainly because they aren't fascists and partly because "they" and the demos don't care about being called fascists. This urge you and your key witness seem to have kinda reminds of the cold war when life was easier because you knew "we are the good guys" and "those are the baddies". Or 2nd wave feminists knowing all too well who was responsible for their disenfranchisement. It helps one to get up in the morning and live life when the day has a structure and you know who you can fight for or against. You might think calling Trump or whoever fascist is your heroic duty as a democratic citizen -it is rather intellectual laziness and a pathological reflex that is, in addition, voiding "fascism" as a term. It is well possible to discuss and beat Trumpism with more than a tiny "fascism club". It is possible to attract avid Trumpeteers for the mainstream again. You just need to get off this state of emergency rhetoric.
I love when people use their favorite dictionary as the core evidence for their argument. it's so cute, like listening to a 3 year-old explain why the sun rises. I also give bonus points for the facile bashing of 2nd wave feminism. you should totally be teaching a socio-political class of some kind at a major university. Maybe try Liberty U.
Ah, I have been pretty busy and not turned into the news. Thanks Let's go Georgia*! Flip those two Senate seats and there could be a chance. Also, several heavily Republican states have legalized weed (South Dakota?!?), so there is a choice he Senate could come around. *first time I have even thought about saying something good about Georgia.
Man. Stay away from right wing media for awhile. I know it’s ubiquitous in Indiana but damn, do yourself a favor.
I don't see a right winger. But I guess all it takes is a single criticism of the left to make someone right wing now? Wikipedia even says progressive in the very first sentence on his page. I honestly see his points. But please tell me what part of his rant was partisan? And dudes from Chicago man
I’ve now gotten through about ten minutes in two different 5 minute segments. I hadn’t previously heard “a single criticism” of the left, but now I’ve heard about ten. And I never heard him mention McConnell, but he did mention a lot of what McConnell is responsible for. Just take his attack on politicians going home for vacation. That was the Senate. Who runs the Senate? The Republicans. McConnell has sent the Senate home for vacation multiple times without signing a second stimulus bill. Why doesn’t he mention this? Because he’s looking for ratings, not accuracy. He’s just ranting and all that does is get people angry. It’s tiring. If he thinks we need a second stimulus, why doesn’t he talk about the second stimulus Nancy Pelosi passed in the house and how it’s been killed in the Senate by McConnell? If he doesn’t like the first stimulus, why doesn’t he talk about the plans Nancy Pelosi pushed for that got undermined by McConnell in the Senate? He’s just biased to ranting for ratings.
here's my conclusion based on 5 minutes watchinng and another 5 minutes googling: he's a faux-left mediocre comedian who figured out more rubes show up when he rips on Democrats. This makes him a fave of the loud-and-leftier-than-thou left, while also ingratiating himself with the Fox News crowd. It's the same old "both sides are the same" laziness, but with the added spice of 9/11 trutherism. hard pass.
I think you may be right. Stumbled upon it on a socialist subreddit and just watched a few videos. As someone who is both disgusted by the current administration as well as not very optimistic about Biden being the solution to anything it hit home for me. Of course I kinda want to see Pelosi gone now. Settling for half what was originally offered after claiming it wasn't nearly enough prior and then threatening reporters who dare to claim it was a mistake? If you can't stand the heat get out of the fire.
Well, there's your problem. That sounds like a frightening place. I think Pelosi should remain at the helm through the transition in 2021 and then step aside for someone else as Speaker of the House. She has too much experience to cast aside in a time of crisis, but I think Pelosi, and (even more so), Schumer need to go into "emeritus" status. Retain their spots if they can, but step away from limelight. I don't either will, though.
Can be but, have you looked around? If you're not freaking out I don't know what to tell you. The Galactic Federation interviews Earth for membership pic.twitter.com/okgC7L0IuH— Vinny Thomas (@vinn_ayy) December 8, 2020
