How does this team relate to the Western MI W-League (was West Michigan Edge and now the West Michigan Firewomen) team that was just acquired by the West Michigan Fire Juniors? Two W-League teams loosely under the Chicago Fire umbrella.
The two team are not related, though they are in the same division. The Gaels FC relationship to the Fire is through the Premier group owning and running the team. The Fire has been gracious in extending coverage of the acquisition of the team and hopefully will continue to give us some press as we are part of the Chicagoland soccer community.
