I have been saying all season long as long as we consistently get three points at home and a point on the road I will be happy. It kinda sucks we could not keep the 2-1 lead but I will take the point in Portland any day of the week. Especially without a couple of our best players.
Wow, win a few games and suddenly it's pre-match woofing...get a ⭐️ over your logo and people might stop 😂 at your noise. #RCTID #cf97— John Brewer, Jr. (@jsbpdx) July 5, 2017
I was wide awake I took a modafinil at 8:30 in the morning. I didn't pay much attention to the game because I was laser focused on trying to see what other nootropics might actually improve my attention span. Yeah the irony isn't lost on me
did anyone point out to this twatwaffle that we got a star over our logo while Gavin Wilkinson was still playing in Australia?
Yes, he said it was obsolete or s Im just going to say it, because his name has ic at I believe in the players, Pauno is an awful coach. Horrible judgement!
Paunos system has been winning games. He probably has a good reason that we don't know for Johnson. Accam played with Ghana and there's no point risking him on turf. Alvarez is more technical in the midfield which is a reason why he started.
Pawno's system has been awesome since 4/1/17. It goes something like this: Play Bastian Schweinsteiger for 90 minutes. the end.
I think Pauno should get quite a bit of credit for getting Bastian Schweinsteiger to the Fire. If Phil Jackson gets to be greatest coach ever for passing out books during road trips and watching Jordan/Pippen and Kobe/Shaq win all their trophies then Pauno should at least get a little credit for the Fire's current position in the league. What I feel for Phil Jackson is similar to what Fletch feels for Tommy Lasorda.
...and if the Fire win MLS Cup, Paunovic will be coach of the year (during the telecast, I believe Danhole and Klopas said he was a "shoo-in" for coach of the year) By the way, what I feel for Michael Jordan is similar to what Fletch feels for Tommy Lasorda. Also, Phil Jackson did a masterful job of stroking Jordan's massive ego, while surrounding him with players who complemented (and complimented) Jordan's extra-ordinary talent. He managed to get Dennis Rodman, at his most insane, to "play nice" and work primarily within the team construct. He managed to win an amazing percentage of his games with the Bulls, despite not have an NBA-quality center.
He also got another stratospheric ego to play nice with teammates (twice!) long enough to win 5 more titles in LA. MJ - zero titles without Phil Kobe -zero titles without Phil Basti - 23 titles without Pawno
Of course, but f*ck LA. Calling themselves the Lakers is a crime. When they moved from Minnesota (Land of 10,000 Lakes) to LA, they should have changed their name to some relevant to LA. Of course, there is nothing indigenous to LA, so it would have to have been LA Assholes or something. (Not sure if assholes are indigenous, but I suspect they are). Even "Lake Los Angeles" is goddamned desert. It is 99.5% land. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Los_Angeles,_California
I'm not saying Pauno sucks. I'm not saying he doesn't. But if someone says "Paunos system has been winning games" then I expect them to back up their work. The team is winning games. What evidence do we have that a system Pauno is running is working? If Pauno gets credit for Basti, does he get credit for Bava?
