Wow, I thought that was a goal for Portland. Too many chAnces and space for them.

 

After 10 replays, I still can't tell if Niko touched that.

I don't care if DeLeeuw doesn't score again thus year. He's honestly been one of our best defensive players. That 60 yard track back killed Portland's counter.

 

You know what feels good? Seeing Nikolic tearing up the league after I and a few others that watched him previously said he would (if he got the service ).

 

Some are pretty funny. Portlandia has a sketch involving a raw food restaurant. The result of eating all that stuff is massive flatulence. So Fred and Carrie are sent to the Fart Patio. Hilarious (if you like that low sort of humor, which I do!)

 

Give credit where its due ....fire's positional play has been great this season.
Both center backs are getting along nicely.Transition from back to mid to front has been growing every game.

We're lucky Portland didn't finish a couple of their chances. The Fire were outplayed in the first half by a wide margin.

 

Yes they pressed all right but still team position has been good.

 

Niko should've gone two footed.

 

I'd say Blanco has killed more attacks on his own than the Fire's positioning and defense.

 

Of course now that I've said that the Fire's D is making me eat my words. I don't think we can survive this kind of pressure for the entire half.
