need a hand with jersey history piece

    Hello All:

For my next article on the Fire site I am working on a piece were I would do a review/history on past Fire Jersey's.

Probably will be mostly a pictorial piece recapping the various kits (including the specialty one time jerseys such as the Blue US Nat Tribute and Red & White FWFK's 4th of July Jersey's) the team has worn through the last few years.

I pretty much have a wide variety of jersey's to shoot as examples...much to my wife's chagrin I have spent a small fortune on Fire Jersey's through various auctions : )

But I was wondering if anyone had one of the Fire/Sting commemorative kits the boys wore on 7/21/2001 or the Mexico/Ireland commemorative worn during the 6/4/2000 vs. KC I could lend to shoot and include in the piece.

My hope is I can get a hold of these so I can build an online history of all the past Fire jersey's

If you have one of these Jersey's and would like to help me let me know and thanks in advance.

Ok... everybody has to admit I've been better...

    but come on.

Please... when you write your column, PLEASE don't pluralize "jerseys" with an "apostrophe s."

    I have my limits.

IceBlink you are correct about the apostrophe thing...guess I shouldn't be writing posts as 2:00 AM and relying on the spell check : )

I'm not a big fan of the lace-up collar for soccer.

    Hockey though, [IMG]

Lace-up jerseys are cool in general, but that Oilers third sucks a fat one. Looks like a futuristic Jiffy Lube or something.

    Pssh, that jersey is kickass.

I wish I could find one of the old Hawks red jerseys with the lace-ups like that.

Here is another site in the same vein only it acts as a archive for team logos rather than kits

Although I think your money is better spent on Fire gear I did notice you could buy a 60's style Hawks lace up jersey on the NHL and hawks site...check out this link

Please note it isn't the Red one but it is a cool one.

Additionally Ebbets Field flannels used to sell a wide collection of old Hawks Jerseys.

I think the NHL pulled their apparell agreement but perhaps you can give them a call as they may have some in stock still...check out the following
