That Erik ten Hag video...I think it's a fake...or not confirmed. It just popped up in my feed. Pure rumor at this point? On the continunig saga of manager sackings - Rooney is out. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/67858866
That is not real. Wayne Rooney was sacked at Birmingham, but not Eric Ten Haag. Thanks for posting the video. It is not even a rumor, the video is completely fake, but it is fascinating. I had a few minutes to kill waiting to head off to work, so I decided to dissect it a bit. Everything about that video is nonsense. I think it was silly AI-generated garbage. The video mentions "club legend" Zinadene Zidane having been appointed. One slight problem. He is not a Man United "club legend," having never played for the team. They mention that ten Haag has been in the job for 10 months, but he has been there since April, 2022, so the video would be from February, 2023. They then mention Man United's "disastrous season," except 2022-2023, was not really disastrous. They placed third in the league, won they League Cup and made it to the FA Cup Final. Then they mention at the end of the video "just months after Eric ten Hag's underwhelming tenure ended," but earlier in the video, it states that ManU had been in discrete talks with Zidane for 48 hours and ten Hag had been sacked at the same time as Zidane's appointment. They also mention Zidane's "press conference." There is another, also poorly edited, version of the video on the subject (from the same "source") that mentions a 4-1 defeat to Man City as the impetus of the decision. Unfortunately, that match took place in March, 2022, a month before the appointment of ten Hag. In that video, Zidane is referred to (correctly) as Real Madrid "club legend." Finally, what does "Urgents News" mean?
