Mister Peabody and Sherman set the Way Back Machine to:

2020 Chicago Fire FC Soldier Field hype video.

I thought this was appropriate because even though it was 4 short years ago, we've come a long way baby! For one, our men are back in RED and there's no stupid crown logo and we are actually rolling into pre-season with a few bullets in the chamber to threaten other teams with and the first GENUINE hope since 2017. I know...take that sh*t to the optimism thread. So...that may fade if the Fire get beat up by the likes of Cowlumbus and Cincy but for now things look better as they stand currently than this 2020 hype video

US Soccer, I think we have a suitable replacement for Gregg Berhalter. ;););)

Of course, just about any coach, except (perhaps) Paunovic, would be an improvement on Berhalter. Oh, and Yallop.
Actually, the way the USMNT play, Paunovic would likely be the perfect coach. They play like a U-17 squad and Pauno's only success has been with a U-17 side.

If I was alive in 1962, my mother would have told me the same, but I was -3 at time.
Odd that my father was what they used to call a "Nixonian Republican." Then, again, everything about my father was was odd.

When Reagan was elected, she said sarcastically, "That's it, we're moving to Canada."
We had a friend of hers living with us at the time and she responded in all seriously that she would go and start packing.

My dad told me that Harry Truman called Nixon "a no good, lying bastard" in '58 and that he agreed with Truman then.

    Yeah, I know, wrong thread.

  16. In the mid-60s my brother served in the Marines, but by a stroke of luck wasn't sent to Vietnam. I guess truck drivers were scarce at El Toro MCAS. My lottery number was 24 and my mother was ready to send me to Canada, but the draft ended 18 months before. By then I had already read Abbie Hoffman's "Steal This Book" and was trying to figure out which one of the strategies I was going to use to beat the draft.
