Does that mean that Mueller is basically an MLS minimum-wage player this coming year? Pete (isn't clear on supplemental roster rules)
MLS rules seem to indicate (to me, at least) 2 slightly different maximum amounts 21-24 and 25-30 Per 10-25 MLSPA salary guide-salaries listed as follows: Dean-$130k, Glasgow, Gonzalez, Reynolds-$104k, and 7 others - $80+k + Small amounts (<$15k) in additional compensation for some players.
Seems like a good price to see if Mueller can get his way back to form. Pete (cringed a bit when he was re-signed, but this seems like the right move)
Agree- low cost, only supplemental Roster. I initially reacted negatively also, should have given GGG crew more credit.
Got it. Thanks. He was when we signed him, he must have moved over to the regular roster at some time.
That situation was always a little unclear. The first year, Fire was given a special deal, apparently to” help the league”, which included salary contributions from other parties resulting in minimal cost to Fire and Supplemental Roster was allowed. Never really heard what the deal was the second year, but I fear Fire paid more.
That is how I recall it. However, since he basically never played, I never knew if he moved to the main roster or not.
Opaque in many ways. Figured you knew most, if not all, about him. Sometimes my commentary is lengthy because I try to tailor it for general readership.
