In a major surprise ( to me, anyway), MLS has released a list of the GAM available to each team for 2025. They also provided a reasonably good explanation regarding GAM.
The Fire has $2,931,721 GAM as of Dec.10. So basically, as I suspected all along, it is obvious the Fire has spent all the sale GAM and other GAM available to it. It looks like this would include the new 2025 GAM of $2,930,000 available to all teams plus a little “ you suck” GAM less amounts owing for recent acquisitions of $225k for Gutman and less $125k for Barlow.
    More to follow.

Great find! Do you have a link for that?
I could not find it on mlssoccer.com, but I am probably not looking in the right place.

I'll keep hunting around as time permits.
If I find something, I'll post a link.

    Interesting stuff.

  6. Only 4 teams have less GAM than the Fire.

We spent money to acquire Barlow? Oof. I had been hoping it was a free transfer. I'm sure I knew at the time, and have since repressed it and been pleasantly living in my amnesia.

NYRB should have paid US to take him off their hands

    Page 2- 2025 Fire Budget
    2024 Budget Resources-league salary budget $5.470 million + TAM $2.400m +
    League GAM $2.585m + Sales GAM $2.545m + (2DP+ 4 U22) GAM $1.000m
for est.Total 2024 Resources of $14.0m And it was apparently ALL spent!!
    2025 Budget Resources- salary budget $5.950m + TAM $2.225m + League GAM
    $2.930m = $11.105m. Fire should also get about $0.500m Sell-on GAM from Colorado’s sale
of M. Navarro, which would increase current Total 2025 Budget Resources to $11.605m.
Depending upon the Fire’s 3 DP + 3 U22 vs 2+4 decision, they could pick up another $2.000m.
Sales or trades could generate more GAM but nothing is guaranteed.
(My gut tells me it would be preferable to wait until mid-season for any major sales.)
11.605 Resources vs ? say $14.000m Budget Charges
Going to be a very tight squeeze! (No- this is not a porn site!)

I had not seen that the sell on for Miggy was confirmed at 50%. It could be as low as 5%...still..it is better then nothing either way. Good research Shroncar on all of that stuff...not always easy to find.

Not confirmed, but the speculation in the article I linked in the ex-Fire thread.
    From that article:
Chicago did retain a sell-on percentage. Even if that was 50%, this is really good business by the Rapids FO.

I think there may be a few other 'sell-on' and 'performance targets'...
Djordje, Franki, Offor, Duran, maybe a couple more......no clue about specifics, but all those deals had fine print

As I have stated in the past, I rely on what I read from believed reputable sources.
No insider knowledge. I try to exercise discretion and use common sense before repeating something. I do not make things up, but you know mistakes happen.
    No guarantees.

Page 3- 2025 Fire Budget Resources. How about an exercise in forecasting?

Currently Fire has 15 Senior Roster players signed for 2025. (The 8 Supplemental players signed will not be part of Salary Budget Charge calculation.)
Set the scene-( My Assumptions) 1) Fire to add “DPs and a U22” 2) Gimenez and Souquet will be gone.
    3) Fire will add 5 players to reach 18 player Senior Roster minimum.

Salary Budget Charges for 10 “Regular” players-
Acosta $1,559k (FT), Barlow 405k, Brady 248k (FT), Elliott 1,000k (FT, Est),
    Gutman 825k, Hailie-Selassie 584k (Est), Mueller 837k, Pineda 376k (FT),
    Salquist 1,004k (Est), Teran 619k (FT) Sub-total 10 Regulars- $7,457,000
(Notes- FT = no transfer fee, Est= includes an estimate)

Salary Budget Charges for 3 “Special” players- Cuypers $684k,
    Gutierrez 200k, Navarro 200k Sub-total 3 Specials- $1,084,000

    “ Forecast Additions”- DP#1- $684k, DP#2- $684k, U22- $200k,
    RB- $600k acquisition fee with 2 year deal @ $400k salary = $700k,
other (CB or CM?)- FT & $300k salary. Sub-total “Additions” $2,568,000

Est. Total Salary Budget Charges for “Forecast” roster- $11,109,000
Amount is less than Est. Total Budget Resources of $11,605,000
HOORAY! This forecast activity appears doable.

Found it! It was included in 12-19 GAM announcement.
Updating my posting for the relatively minor change.

Correction! Based upon new 2025 maximum Salary Budget Charge, the corrected figure is 60k higher per DP or Revised 2025 Estimate of $11,289,000.

In the process of checking my earlier posting, I discovered a needed correction. Despite various incorrect online listings, the correct lease term information for Gutman is an expiration date of 12-26 with one year option to extend. (My source- announcement on 12-12-23 by Fire)
Accordingly, the correct Salary Budget Charge for him should be $750k. Also, the new Revised, Revised Est. 2025 Fire Salary Budget Charge is $11,214,000.
PS- does anybody know why Gutman is not shown as a TAM player on the Player Rosters from Alex C? (which are excellent.). Really small thing, I know.
