Has anyone thought that Chicago's dismantling might be a conspiracy with the USSF. We bring in Sarachan as coach and then stack our team with some of the brightest young talent our country has like mapp, capano, gray, bocanegra, DMB, and whoever we get in the draft. Is Chicago Arena's breeding ground? Does MLS know that at this point they go where the NATS go, so we better raise some top class players in our league under the watch of a top rate and ex NAT coach?

Nah, it just means we'll be in this exact same position in another three, maybe four years.

See, the trick is to find young players who are the right side of the "Ralston line" - guys who are just barely good enough to make the Nats some day and maybe get caled up for one or two friendlies but ultimately won't get selected so their salaries don't skyrocket. Those are the young guys you want for an MLS team.

After watching the chicago soccers 15s & 16s play at soccer city in arlington heights, I'm a believer. A 16 year old from the soccers program named Jonathan Spector will sign with man united as soon as he turns 17 this spring. I used to see Bob Bradley out there on Fridays, and I believe his kid was in the same program.
