I'll probably go to a couple of games....we're supposed to do a Bears/Hawks doubleheader in October or November. I used to live and die (mostly die) with this team in the 1980's and early 1990's. It's sad that we were dead even with Detroit from 1992-5, and then they became champions and we drifted to the bottom. I really didn't miss the NHL as much as I thought I would. It helps that I play in two leagues, and do some work for the Steel. That fills my hockey fix.

Well so much for a good start. We lose 5-3, at least I hope we win Sunday against Columbus, 'cause I'll be there.
Hawks will need to make some adjustments obviously, but it is good to see them back playing. The NHL seems fresh now compared to the last season before the lost season. I hope that the rules changes and the calls don't taper off as the season progresses as it has in the past. Go Blackhawks, time to become a winner.
It's a long season boys. All teams have to re-acquaint themselves with their old teammates, plus the fact that there was more player movement between the start of this season than the end of the 2003-4 season, mixed in with the rule changes, plus a new coach. If we're not playing well come December, then I'll worry.
Havibulan has really been sucking it up lately. Lost 4-1 to St. Louis last night. Off to a 1-3 start.
