Altintop blows through all of Hannover's defense to put in the third with 3.5 minutes left.

Bayern is dominating and playing on a different level than 96.
A 8:0 score would reflect the game much better.

Disgusting to see how Bayern are dominating the league already.

    *sigh*

Looking at the replays of the recent goal, Dolo was not among those beaten, so I assume he'd moved up into the attack.

The ref, clearly exhausted from throwing all the yellow cards he justiably had to throw, blows the whistle at 90 minutes. 3-0 Bayern.

    Thank god.
I can't remember having 96 witnessed being that outclassed before.
Kahn didn't even had to stop one shot.

96 II is playing tomorrow, hopefully Zizzo will get his first minutes for 96.

Outclassed is probably a fair statement, I'm sorry to say. However, it's also fair to say that the last time I watched Bayern play (and I can't remember who it was they were facing--a week or so ago) it looked just as one-sided. It's not much fun when a team is that loaded.

Hitzfeld is fielding eight players who can attack in the offensive third, a huge departure from Magath, who liked his defensive/2-way mids. (and I am not even going to bring up Bradley here ... oops). And Lucio and Demichelis can pitch in as well.

This is just too much firepower for most clubs.

Off his early performances, Ribery projects as the Bundesliga Player of the Year.

Hannover 96 II lost 0:1 in Kiel today.

    Zizzo didn't play. I guess the coaches don't think he's match-fit yet.

Oui. Despite looking like a serial killer, he's a hell of a player.

Bayern did a fantastic job of reloading, and this side brings back memories of the glory days 70s, although they have a long way to go before they reach those heights.

Still, I think barring injury they will be one of the best sides in Europe all season.

Credit to Hoeness, Ruminegge and co. They got the pervurbial 'sharp stick in the eye' last year, and they reacted magnificantly (great strategy + pieces for them)

myself, clark, i'm thankful that there are people trying to give me info about a game i can't see but want to know about.

on this board, look and think before you post can't apply strictly in those situations, or else you would never get people combining to give pbp's for certain games.

I've seen two games and he was the key figure in both.

Off his first four games, Franck is rated at 1.33 by Kicker. The second best is Luca Toni at 2. Usually, low/mid 2's wins player of the year. Last year, Mario Gomez won with a 2.98.

'Dolo got a "4.5" for the match, btw. His average grade was 3.62 for 06-07.

From watching him play I would go as far to say that he's too good for the Bundesliga.

The last 3x I've seen him play, he was clearly better than Cristiano Ronaldo on the week.

That's saying a whole bunch; can't think of any other winger/dribbler type in the world except for Messi who could pull that off.

Hitzfeld is playing him in a free/roving role. He can play on a wing but can also roam anywhere, play behind the strikers, etc.

It's interesting that Bundeslia has so many #10's whereas the Prem is virtually void of them. Franck seems a perfect replacement for Zidane in Domenech's 4-4-1-1.

Off the first 3 games, Bayern is too good for the Bundesliga.

And the funny thing is that they're not even in the Champions League.

Finally Zizzo made his 96 debut, He played the 2nd half in 96's 5:1 friendly win over Havelse (I think they play 5th level).

    From the official homepage:
Hannover 96: Golz - Pinto, Marheineke (58. Hofmann), Zuraw, Cherundolo (46. Bikmaz) - Yankov (58. Lala), Rosenthal, Krebs, Stajner, Huszti (46. Zizzo) - Hashemian

    Tore: 0:1 Yankov (48.),;1:1 Zimmermann (51.); 1:2 Stajner (56.); 1:3 Stajner (65.); 1:4 Stajner (67.); 1:5 Hashemian (83

Interesting because that looks like a fairly strong lineup he was thrown into. Zuraw, Cherundolo, Huszti, Hashemian, ect.
