Cherundolo, Davies, Feilhaber and Conrad

    If you added these guys to yesterday's team, we still could have lost but the meltdown would not have happened. The reason why they should be considered cause they theoretically were available. Bob Bradley allowed them to leave for their club teams to fight for playing time. He obviously views having in-form players as more important for next year's World Cup than winning the Gold Cup.

    Sometimes people don't see the big picture. That is unfortunate. I hate losing as much as the next US fan especially against Mexico. However, doing well in the World Cup next year trumps finishing second at our regional tournament where there is nothing at stake.

    Conrad was unavailable after having his squash scrambled in the quarters.

    Davies was the fast striker we needed to get on the end of one our first half final balls. Had he been there (or Donovan in that role), we likely get some shots on goal and decent chance of a goal or more. In that case it's probably a different game.

    But it's hard say flat out that 1 or even all 4 of these players would have made a 5 goal difference.
