Anyone remember the move Multiplicity (Michael Keaton), looks like we got the last pep out of the macccchine:
We have had more of the possession and we do have two assists. Chelsea player assisted both Halland goals Things learned from first half Messing around at the back against good teams will be punished KDH is not a winger Caicedo and Enzo are yards off it Mudryk is fcuckking useless Tosin looks like a player you’d pickup on a free Nkunku isn’t a CF Its going to be a long hard season we look clueless
Im done with this game. Gonna go watch Curious George with my kid. At least he learns from his mistakes
This kind of football is not going to be popular in my bit of the Bridge. There were enough cries of "stop f*ING about at the back" last season but this season promises to be far worse. I for one will be in full voice
Being this side of the pond I didn't see this but it seems obvious what the 'issue' is, looking on the bright side it seems that if we can cut out our defensive errors then we're looking quite dangerous going forward?
Conceding two goals in the first 5 mins. Well that is a bit of a fluke. That is seriously unlucky. That is not going to happen too often no matter how bad you play. AND it was a good lesson for our defenders to lurn. Very important lesson. Enzo's Chelsea - We understand that we are going to try to play it out from the back, we understand that, but even Peps Citeh know that you have to hit it long some time. Don't be so predictable playing it out from the back. Don't make it so easy for the opposition. IF I know that the Chelsea GK and defenders are never going to hit a long ball - no matter what - then i am going to press really high and totally own them. Enzo imitates Pep. But he has to be his own man also and have some ideas of his own. Really need to know what Enzo has - if anything - that is going to make a difference. All 4 of City's goals came as a result of one of our players misplacing a pass. Can either blame the pitch, sharpness, or lack of concentration, these are little things that need to be ironed out. Guardiola was asked about the errors made by Chelsea while trying to play out from the back and the City boss stated he thought the surface at Ohio Stadium was the cause, stating the goals would not have occurred at Stamford Bridge. WE do need another striker- but Jackson would have helped us yesterday had he been available. Marc Guiu had one excellent chance when he came on - maybe Jackson would have scored that? Enzo the younger had a shot that he really should have scored. There were some turning points - not realised. I think we are maybe not as bad as has been suggested. I think that these pre-season games are character building for this team/squad. We have some really fine players. I think we are going to win the league. I might even put a bet on. 20-1 - decent odds.
Naw, we're worse. There was some really bad, juvenile things that were happening on the field last night that had nothing to do with the quality of the grass. Lack of hustle, poor passing - and most importantly, very little drive forward or creativity. When teams lose in pre-season, they call it working out the kinks or team building. How is it that Arne Slot has his squad undefeated against Betis, Arsenal, and United. Why is his system so much easier to adapt? Are our players truly as dumb as they look? (They look very dumb) There are so many players that should not be near a pitch for this club.
I dont think things are all bad, did Slot use players that were all fit and healthy at Liverpool last season? Has he changed their style dramatically from the way Klopp had them playing? If we are going to keep pulling the rug from under the managers feet then we are going to have to accept that the new guy in is going to have to have time to put his ideas across. I don't think we have seen Maresca's planned 'first 11' yet either. If you ask me we won't know how potentially good or bad we are until at least the end of October.
