I TOLD YOU GUYS AFTER THE FIRST MATCH , IT AIN'T OVER TILL THE REF BLOWS THE FINAL WHISTLE IN THE SECOND MATCH!!! Now time to do another half like that and its a sure win
Halftime and we are positioned as good as we could have hoped, to be honest. Chelsea supporters boo their team off. Czech scared to death, judging by his play. A good save followed by shit. We can do this!! Need a big firts 15 minutes of the second half from MASCHERANO to help neutralize what will surely be an inspired 15 minutes from them. COME ON!!!! The boss just called, I let it go to voice mail. Love it!
WHAT A GREAT FIRST HALF!!!....was anyone surprised with Lucas performance??....poor lad, theres no way hes going to make any impact from that position....i would get babel or riera on and leave benni behind torres. We are 2-0 and torres hasn't shown up yet!!!!....Hes bound to get another chance. PD: Did anyone see the sitter Skrrtel missed in the penalty...lol.....i have no clue why he started over Agger today, lets hope he proves me wrong.
Rafa needs to remind the players that we are still trailing and the job is not done yet. We have to match our intensity from the first half and continue to attack a nervous Chelsea side.
You've got to look at the game at a deeper, more tactical level. Benayoun is actually our 2nd striker, while Lucas is just man-marking and closing down Ballack/Essien to ensure that Lampard has to deal with both Xabi and Masch at the same time. Thus, Xabi has been given a lot of room to play his passes. This is Rafa at his best, and Lucas is doing a team role, to help Xabi get into the game and dictate the game as much as possible. Yeah...Skrtel's sitter was absolutely shocking, no wonder why he hasnt scored a goal for us yet. He was so happy that it was a penalty, otherwise he couldve been really effected.
Chelsea boards are in total meltdown mode. It's all the Spanish ref's fault according to some of them. And a pro Liverpool bias... We still need a goal and Chelsea will come out fired up surely. Let's seal this thing...
Aurelio's goal is reminiscent of Gary Mac's goal vs Everton. Let's hope it proves to be as pivotal as a goal as that one.
Oh, Reina, WTF? I know we needed to score three regardless, but I worry that will give Chelsea a lot of belief they previously lacked.
Now a 3rd goal sends it to OT & Pk's so no harm really. This will go to PKs and we'll prevail, trust me on this.
Giving Chelsea momentum was another Riise moment, this time from Pepe and Aurelio, who should never had let Anelka get a cross in. PS...Alex scores. 2-2 5-3 on aggregate...we need 2 more. Well done boys.
2-2. Liverpool pays the price of giving away two freekick one after another within a space of minutes, right infront of goal. Alex rockets it in.
