Me like, like, too. If Alonso is stiffled Agger can bring the ball out of defence and use it, too.

And Reina to make incising and attacking runs down the middle while Agger covers goal. He did used to play Striker, you know...

And Babel to spin in circles really really fast on the flank getting really really really dizzy to confuse the crap out of everyone.

Might even make an impact on the game, for once.

Edit: Seriously, I want everyone to just imagine that in their heads. It cracks me up lol

We need 3. got these bastards right where we want em. :D

OK: Torres at 25 mins. Then Carveallyou with the red card and the penalty after Torres burns him again at 35.

Do you need to ask? Gerrard at 88. 3-0. Read it here first.

ok so what does rafa do knowing he needs 3 in russia? Gimme 3 at the back supported by the monster.

    Pepe

    Cara Skrtl Agger

    Mash

    Benayoun Alonso Babel

    Gerrard

    Kuyt Torres

maybe we lose 4-0 with that but i think we are gonna need a first half goal to get the juices going. Or maybe we could put fabio/dossena at lb but move to babels spot after kick off and go nuts for 20 mins with the 3 up front stevie just behind.

As for Messyman, when your being man-marked like that, the thing to do is to go stand right next to the other teams best player, say lampard. That way they have 2 of the best tied up in marking one of you. Gordie Howes move. after 10 mins of that everyone gives up in disgust.

Rafa has to mix it up. He can't just run out the same side and formation as last week and expect to get different results, although having Masc in for Lucus should be a lift.

You have to start with a solution to Gerrard/Essien problem. You either have to put Gerrard on the right or further up field and see if Essien follows him. If he goes out to the right and Essien doesn't follow, he will destroy Cole. If Essien follows him, it leaves a hole in the middle to be exploited by Alonso and Benayoun, who I start in place of Kuyt. I'd give Babel a start up top along side Torres, with Aurelio pushed on the left.

    Carra -- Skrtyl -- Agger
    Alonso - Masc - Aurelio
    Benayoun
    Gerrard Babel
    Torres

If Bolton can score 3 goals at the Bridge in 11 minutes, 3 in 90+ minutes should be no problem. The self-fulfilling prophecy begins here.

Re: Official 08/09 LFC on TV Thread.

i've seen longer odds for this team before. Fro some reason the only thing i can think of this the American Paratroopers at Bastogne

    What he got
"To the U.S.A. Commander of the encircled town of Bastogne.

The fortune of war is changing. This time the U.S.A. forces in and near Bastogne have been encircled by strong German armored units. More German armored units have crossed the river Our near Ortheuville, have taken Marche and reached St. Hubert by passing through Hompre-Sibret-Tillet. Libramont is in German hands.

There is only one possibility to save the encircled U.S.A. troops from total annihilation: that is the honorable surrender of the encircled town. In order to think it over a term of two hours will be granted beginning with the presentation of this note.

If this proposal should be rejected one German Artillery Corps and six heavy A. A. Battalions are ready to annihilate the U.S.A. troops in and near Bastogne. The order for firing will be given immediately after this two hours term.

All the serious civilian losses caused by this artillery fire would not correspond with the well-known American humanity.

    The German Commander"

    his response

"To the German Commander, NUTS!, The American Commander"

WE GOT THEM RIGHT WHERE WE WANT THEM

... although, to be fair, Chelsea had mentally switched off, having thought the game already won.

The task is very difficult which is why I like this...

Hiya..........just stoppin by to wish you all the best,
and to let you know that my local pub is representing for you.
[out of me own pocket, I'll have you know..:D]
I'm kinda the MC of football there...so it's very rare that such things as this occur !!

The locals are still somewhat perplexed....
I explained that it's only during CL.
And that of course, the Arsenal flag will be back on Wednesday;-)

All I want is....revenge for that lovely family, from Liverpool, that came to watch last Wednesday's game at my local.
And... for whatever stars that were out of alignment last week...to shine on you tonight.

See ya next week for a warm up game for the Champions League Final.;)

All the best lads & liverbirds....all the best.

OK, we know what we have to do. 3 goals or we are out. I am not predicting anything except that this game will not finish 0-0! :D

    Good luck, Redmen.

this is interesting - before the first leg I was nervous as hell - I mean a sense of foreboding or dread......

but for this game I am very very very calm (relatively speaking) and I really am expecting the miracle.

Same here. I've had a week to come to terms with the performance in the first leg, and have resigned myself to whatever this result may be. With three away goals, I think there may be more pressure on Chelsea not to capitulate than there is on Liverpool to recover. Could work in our favor.

Alonso for a 60 yard stunner in the first minutes. :D

I don't have a stake in this one, and I know the odds are stacked heavily in Chelsea's favor as a result of the first leg, but I just have a feeling about this one.

A feeling that the XI that walks onto the field, pardon the choice of words, will not be walking alone. They'll be walking with Shankly and Dalglish, Barnes and Owen, and countless others, some still walking, some they could never have known. And counted others, 96 spirits in red. I just have a feeling that Liverpool is going to have so much in their favor tonight that Chelsea won't be able to top it.

It doesn't make sense, but a lot of good things don't seem rational.

Or maybe, as long as we're discussing things that aren't rational, maybe I just don't like Chelsea and want to see them stunned at home.

    Good luck.
