I take back my bashing of per and Santos. Where did Verm play when he came on? Like a roving defender?

Ramsey: it's amazing what you can do when you turn on the ball, well done! You've raised your game so much. I'll be the first to say I was wrong.

Gervs is quickly becoming exactly what rvp needs. Keep it up.

Theo: where did all that intelligence come from? Class goal...please keep it up!

Terry: well done, fine way to start the end of your career

    Malouda: super sub?

What a f*****g game to miss. Make up game today for my girls that got cancelled, only the other team wouldn't call the game until we were on the road for almost an hour. There aren't words (or enough smilies) to express my anger.

Really happy for all you guys who stuck with the team, and specifically this game, and got to enjoy the day.

    Just win, Baby!!

I guess I look at Djourou's performance differently. But no matter, I still like him very much. And Arsenal won!

Let's not get carried away here, I'm not apologizing to anyone. Per is a liability, the only reason he looked better in the second is because Song dropped back to pretty much become his shadow. Not to take anything away from this incredible win but the guy is suspect (and shouldn't start). Very very very solid games from Ramsey, Koscielny and Theo, as for RVP what can you say? The guy is a legend. Back a truckload of cash in front of his doorstep because without him this year we'd still be toiling near the bottom. The guy is our savior.

wow. Here's to many more days like this for the mighty Arsenal!

How do you rate players in this match???? You'd almost have to do first half and second reviews - and I want to celebrate rather than think about that first half again.

Santos was night and day between halves. If I had only watched the second half, he'd get a strong shout for MotM from me. He stuffed everything coming down the left. Distributed and passed well, and had that great goal at the start of the second half.

Kos was a rock, and deserves MotM consideration.

Theo was huge and deserves mention as well.

RVP - what can we say? Let's all just worship him and believe he will continue to bag the goals. His partnership with Gervinho is looking menacing too.

Ramsey was huge, and gets my MotM. Deserved a goal for the effort, but was the gel that held the team together, imo.

I disagree. we made a few mistakes but far from being 'Sh!t'. In my opinion, we played a great game and the second half is just superb!

I'm over the moon... need to throw a party to celebrate the team.

    I love ARSENAL!

well Hope Springs eternal...are we a small club, Big Club..we are Arsenal..where are they naysayers..who doubted Koscielny..he has all the tools to be a top defender..speed, he reads the game well, and he is a good passer and knows how to cover well..for all those not convinced with Per..he had 75 caps for Die Mannschaft when he signed for Arsenal, just because, we might not be familiar with a player does not mean de Arsenal have not done their homework .

i still find it ridiculous that he's been in top flight football for all of 3 (i think?) years and is still learning. he's ridiculously neat and tidy.

while i really wouldn't mind another top flight first XI-level centreback, he leaves me feeling really good about the current rotation of mertesacker-vermaelen-koscielny with bartley-miquel in-waiting.

For everyone saying "I told you so" about Koscielny... who was really doubting him in the first place? IIRC everyone's been pretty impressed with the guy since he arrived. Especially given his limited experience.

What a win! I am over the moon! The team showed fantastic spirit to overcome a very mediocre first half performance and get a massive three points.

Theo and Ramsey were wonderful to watch. Both showed so much intelligence and class on the pitch. Kos was immense in the back and Per and Santos really upped their game after terrible first half performances. And RvP was, well, RvP. What a legend!

Now it's time to build on this victory. The performances have been improving and this team has been coming together over the last month. It's hard not to feel like this match might be a turning point in the season. On you Gunners!

Yup, outside of those first ten minutes we were no where near shit.

That first half was our best attacking performance in years, and then it carried in into the second while the defending got better.

I want to see some passing stats on Arteta today. He was somewhat invisible but I don't want to undervalue his contribution. I think he's neat in possession and keeps us going at times. He at least had one assist.

We need to have a pic of J Terry falling on his face. I may use it as my avatar for a couple of days! :)

I don't know much about this game, but it seems to me that, because of his size, everybody wants Mertesacker to play like Sol Campbell, but I don't think that's his game. He made mistakes in the first half today, to be sure, but he reads the game well, he anticipates and is usually in the right place when he needs to be, and he's an outstanding tackler. He's just not a classic English bruising center half.

Arteta is definitely not Fabregas, but he is very neat and tidy. He rarely loses the ball and does a lot of defensive work. He is not flashy but very efficient. He is a stabilizing force in the middle of the park.
