Just took the Swiss scoring for Southgate to finally make a move. Ready for them to crash out.

Talking to my Dutch mate today and we decided that we want a high scoring entertaining game with a whole bunch of players sent off. Maybe some severe injuries? I think we deserve some excitement. Total excitement. We have been deprived for so long.

Southgate and England have hired and had in the Euros 24 camp since the start a "breathing expert"...and tbf they all seem to be still breathing....wait til Todd hears about this...

Southgate gives the true meaning to better to be lucky than good.

Always find it amusing how people and journos, after burning him at the stake (rightfully if you ask me) go to Southgate was a mastermind genius for putting in Palmer and Watkins late, rather than Southgate is an idiot for not playing them much more and often earlier, especially with Kane obviously carrying a knock.

Boy was I wrong. Their older players did just enough and their youth was amazing. They still have a gap in 25-29 year olds at the top of their game but they still came out and were the best team of the tournament. They deserved that.

Cole with a consolation goal. I suspect the next manager won’t take so long to start him.

Spain totally deserved to win. First team ever to win all 7 matches.

Spain beat Croatia, Italy, France and Germany and then they beat England. Easily the best team in the tournament.

England. Great squad of individual players. Not much in terms of tactics and strategy. Not really a plan or overall style. Like many others I have never been convinced by Southgate - clearly a nice bloke, but lacks the coaching skills and ability needed at this level. IF he goes, fine, if he stays that is also fine, as the replacements being talked about are not convincing either; Potter and Poch in the frame. Sweet baby Jebus. Frying pan meet the fire.

Poch would be far far better than Southgate or Potter for you guys. Not ideal but better. I’m honestly surprised Löw is without a job. I wonder if he’s done or just needs time. He’s not exactly a young man but should be high on anyone’s list who’s looking for a coach for 2026 WC

Next England manager? i like the idea of Tuchel as manager. But some folks feel the manager has to be English*. In which case Lee Carsley. He has already won the Euros with the England U21 team beating Spain in the final [Cole Palmer goal]. Last summer. Continuity would work for me.

*Lee Carsley played for Ireland :0)

Olympic football is a complete waste of time, hopefully we don't have anybody taking part - we need them all taking part in pre-season, it would be nice to start a season with now injury concerns for a change.

Apparently Gareth has handed his notice to the FA.
They passed it back, he passed it to Bellingham, Bellingham passed it sideways to Rice and Rice passed it to Kane who passed it back to pickford. Pickford screamed and waved his arms and punted it down the field.

Apparently there’s been talks with him and the USSF. I hope that doesn’t happen.
