Conor made the final England squad.

Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Jordan Pickford (Everton), Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal).

Defenders: Lewis Dunk (Brighton), Joe Gomez (Liverpool), Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace), Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa), Luke Shaw (Manchester United), John Stones (Manchester City), Kieran Trippier (Newcastle), Kyle Walker (Manchester City).

Midfielders: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Conor Gallagher (Chelsea), Kobbie Mainoo (Manchester United), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace).

Forwards: Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Jarrod Bowen (West Ham), Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Ivan Toney (Brentford), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa).

Dropped from original 33-man shortlist: James Trafford (Burnley, goalkeeper), Jarrad Branthwaite (Everton, defender), Jarell Quansah (Liverpool, defender), Harry Maguire (Manchester United, defender), Curtis Jones (Liverpool, midfielder), Jack Grealish (Manchester City, forward), James Maddison (Tottenham, forward).

IF you're taking Luke Shaw then why not take Reece James?
Would have been nice to have seen Levi Colwill in the squad.

Ian Maatsen, the Chelsea left-back currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund, is not in the Netherlands squad.

Marc Cucurella is in the Spain squad.

NONE of our French lads made the sqauad. I thought maybe Gusto or Nkunku might have done.

Armando Broja is in. Lets go Albania!

Đorđe Petrović is in the Serbia squad.

Romelu Lukaku is in the Belgium squad.

    Mykhailo Mudryk representing Ukraine.

This isn't the forum to argue over non-chelsea aspects of the England squad selection but man, there are some real head-scratchers in there

    It could be the forum.

    Toney? why?
I would not have left out Grealish. As much as he is stupid and annoying, he does know how to play football.

Yeah Grealish stuck out to me. Too much pedigree

Maddison, also too good IMO but maybe redundant with some others

    Reece obviously

Grealish offers the ability to carry the ball into their third by himself or get a free kick, the squad could use that sometimes so perplexing though Southgate never has seemed to favor him, also it defies logic how you can leave a healthy James home. The midfield seems to lack some depth.

Yeah and they are both players you can bring off the bench and they will do a job and they will have an impact. Substitutions are a crucial part of tournament football.

James would be a good utility player in any squad.

Southgate run out of ideas a long time ago. I hope that he is done after this tournament. Although, the future of England might be playing "Potter-Ball"

that would seem like a logical idea. . .

Germany at home and being Germans might just win it.
France have a good squad of young players.
    Spain.
    Portugal.
England? Some bookies have made Eng-ger-land favourites. i think that is a bit much.
    Holland?
Belgium? Maybe plucky little Belgium will finally win something?

Cucu not only made the team…he’s starting. Is Spain in a down cycle? They’ve got a 16 yo starting.

perhaps Cucu is not as bad as we made him look sometimes, he looked fantastic for Brighton and tbf I thought he was pretty good the last third/half of the season. Spain going younger but today they look more purposeful than under the prior coach

Cucu is a good player but his lack of athleticism hurt him in a system that asked the outside backs to play so advanced. His recovery speed isn’t great in transition.

With regards to Reece as much as I would have liked to see him at the tournament at least it gives him a good recovery time, if his operation has finally sorted out his issue then I think he'll undoubtedly be in future England squads.

PS, I also think we should use this thread as a general Euros discussion board.

How could they be anything but? Luis Enrique’s style is the most infuriating I’ve ever encountered.
