If you get a chance watch the Man Utd. - Chelsea replay. The Chelsea keeper makes one of the greatest saves I have ever seen in the second half. Then he makes another great one about 10 minutes later. He had a boneheaded play in half one, but this guy is an incredible talent.

I caught the last 10 minutes of that game on FSW. That was a great finish.

But what was he doing passing the ball to David Beckham after a backpass which Beckham crossed for Scholes who scored in the first half??

Yeah, that was the boneheaded play. But the save off van Nistelrooy (?) was one of the bet you'll ever see as he dove across the goalmouth to his right and pushed a low hard shot past the post. Wow. The best part was the look on his face afterwards -- he just looked up and kind of just puffed up his cheeks and went *whew*

    Great game.

    Re: Cudicini

I think he may have been thanking the good lord for keeping the ball out of the back of his net.

imho Cudicini is the best keeper in the premiership, but it also helps to have the best defense in front of you. He always seems to pull off fantastic saves.

The RvN header looked a certain goal, i was already out of my chair before that save.

He was guilty of not looking up to see if there was a player on the wing as he was attempting to put it out of bounds. He should have lifted it with a big toe.

However, the real "problem" (blame is such a stupid word for someone who can't play at that level to bestow on somebody who can) was the back pass which led him to have to do that.Babayaro should have belted it to the stands not gave it to his keeper.

    The Cudicini save was awesome.
I wouldn't really blame Cudicini fully for Scholes' goal, however, he was a player to blame.

everything to be said about that save has been said, it was world class. the FSW commentator was spot on calling it the 'save of the season.'

i as well was off my couch, only to grasp my head in disbelief.

    "duwah?!"
