it's only rumors, but they've been consistent and bear weight... 1) Zambrotta is expendable, especially after Camoranesi had such a good start at the club. the target? Cristiano Zanetti, which would allow to let Davids go without regrets in January 2) Salas has become a luxury and an impending lockerroom problem after the purchase of Di Livio, both club and player are interested in a new home for him now,i have reservations about both moves Zambrotta definetely has a technical edge on Camoranesi, and it's not like Zanetti can make up for that... besides, the Inter ballwinner plays in a more central position than the bullpit, and he's not dangerous in attack IMO the midfield is poor enough (technically) as of now,and these moves will only further stress the problem but to partially compensate the loss of Zambo,Juventus are allegedly trying to strike a deal with Barcelona that will bring Puyol (+ cash) to Turin for Salas which takes us to the second topic of this post, the logjam at forward; i'm always glad when i see excellent players moved out from the bench of a big club to find some playing time elsewhere, and delight us watchers; Salas is one of those players my reservations are about the opportunity to basically replace the Chilean with Di Vaio: seems like Lippi wants a team built on physical strenght and quick counterattacks (the recipe of Trapattoni at the WC,btw); i doubt it's the best solution for a club which can afford the best, and should look for the best, midfield included... if Trez is not available (not that far-fetched),Juve are left with no true specialist in the box (btw,Tottenham is also linked to Salas)
I agree Salas deserves to be playing somewhere. He's always been a real professional, tons of heart, deserves not to rot away on the bench and playing Coppa games. Then again, I hate to see a player like that leave Juve! The problem I have with Zambrotta is he never ever seems to score. For an attacking sort of player, you'd think that would be a nice ability to have. At least Camoranesi has proven he can deliver on that end. Speaking of player who never score ... I assume you meant "the purchase of DiVaio" rather than "DiLivio". That made me rub my eyes a little bit.
