OK although I am a true gooner, the linked picture did make me smile in these tough times. http://viral.lycos.co.uk/attachments/1576/Arsenal.jpg
Well I suppose that means I'm not a true gooner either, I laughed my socks off too? Boys I know we're all still licking the wounds, but, if we gonna give it out we have to be able to take it too. And you have to give credit where credit is due, it's well done and hits our soft under belly bullseye!!! I agree with Jeff Lancaster's sentiments, but not his suggestion. Keep it to throw darts at, yes, but when we win it back next year we've got to come up with something even better! Here's to revenge long and sweet. Come on you Gunners!!!
Heh heh, I'll join you on the list of former gooners as well I guess. Sure, the season won't end the way we all expected it to. But we still have the FA Cup Final to look forward to. Repeat double? No, but we're not gonna come away empty handed. Maybe it'll be a little bit sweeter knowing that we beat ManUre to get to this Final. Either way, I just look at the picture, smile, and think about how sweet revenge will be next season. Either that or I've just become so used to losing with my local teams (NY Mets, NY Rangers) that losing ain't that big a thing anymore.
If the F.A. Cup remains at Highbury for another year, then revenge may come sooner than expected. It will be Man. Ure. in the "Community Shield" Final at Cardiff in August! That's why I think the date of release for the new away strip will co-incide with that game. It's in that week. What a good way to christen it with a win over them!
I'm not so uptight I can't have a laugh at my own expense, but I just didn't find that to be very clever. Jamming in a couple of naughty words? Ehn. I have seen a picture with the Iraqi Information Minister dressed in Arse colors saying, "Everything is fine, we are in control..." or something like that. THAT was funny.
to all of you who slammed me saying not a true gooner, unless you were a gooner back in the 80's you would not be able to understand this, most of you are the americanized gooners who just know of Arsenal in the recent years of playing sexy football under Wenger, well I remember the barren years standing on the North bank when the season was over in Febuary or a good season was winning the littlewoods cup (Charlie, it's thereeeeeee, Charlie Nicholas....) (in those days that did not even get us into Europe because of the ban) So I have learnt to take a step back and laugh at our own expense, but to have some W**ker from Canada telling me I am not a true gooner is just rubbish. I know we will be back next season and be able to send a similar picture to the Manure message boards, but until then, one has to admit we blew it, but smile because you know we will be back!
