Voted last week. Waited around 30 minutes to get to a station. Longest wait I've had early voting in the northern suburbs of Atlanta.
We've already figured it out, but folks like you vote for legislators and legislation that A) keep downsizing the post office, and B) keep limiting early voting. Mail the ballots a month early, allow them to be returned to secure locations (or mailed in) any time, and make election day a federal holiday. This shouldn't be difficult. But folks like you insist upon yourselves, don't you?
I'll be working until 7pm (10pm eastern time). Won't be surprised if a winner gets called before I get home.
I was the 232nd person to vote is 530 pm here. It seems low. Only 7 contested races, all other only Democrats as options.
I back you on this. We have our disagreements, but I do not think you're about restricting liberties. Of that much I am certain.
Thanks. If it were me, and I haven't put a ton of thinking into this so I'm sure I'm overlooking possible issues, but I think I'd eliminate most early voting and instead have Election "Day" run from Saturday through Tuesday, so you get four days to vote at your normal polling place, including two weekend days. I'm also fine with voting by mail and if there was ever a way to do it, maybe even voting at ATMs. Seems to me that if a machine can be trusted to dispense money right 100% of the time, then it should be able to handle voting.
I voted about one hour ago. Pretty uneventful. I pumped gas right after at $1.89 ... I remember when gas prices used to be an issue. One of those things Democrats get blamed for when prices are high, but no credit when prices are low
Voted last Wednesday. Worked the polls today. 821 if 903 voted (either in person or absentee) in my precinct. The other 3 precincts at my location all had 80%+ voting as well.
