    If it's what they are fearing, it is referred to as a 'machine' or 'battery' and is basically a crude device used to send an electrical charge/shock to the horse.

    If Santos tried to lie, it made no sense whatsoever to say "cue-ring for outriders," since there is no such thing. In fact, he would never readily admit he had something other than the whip.

    By the way, the AP photo actually showed nothing.
