An ebay seller has 13 auctions of tickets to the 6/28 game. Each auction is for 6 tickets in section 118, and the opening bid is 29.95. Unless a bidding war starts on these (which is doubtful), that's only ~$5.00 per ticket. http://search.ebay.com/search/searc...ery=revolution+tickets&from=R8&ht=1&combine=y
If this - the seller - is the Revs marketing department in disguise, I take my hat off to them. Who says they can't be imaginative? This week tickets. Next week parking passes.
Unless Revs management is selling tickets to other events, like the PawSox, it's not them. The seller has over 1,000 sales, so they might be outselling the Revs staff
One word: Consignment. Honestly, I haven't a clue. But, other organizations have been known to do this. In fact, the Cubs, with the opposite being the case, are selling their tix thru one of their subsidiaries, but at a premium versus a discount. Like I said, I haven't a clue.
