Torquay United is a Division 2 side -- so the Gulls are three divisions below us.

It will be interesting to see what lineup Curbs puts out for each half. And will anyone play a full 90. I believe Matt Holland did last match as well as Kiely, Young, and Fortune.

Will Smertin play? He only arrived with us on Friday. But what is interesting is the photo of Smertin in training on the Charlton web site. Isn't that big Herman running beside Alexi? See for yourself by scrolling down the pate at:

I just wish someone was going to provide a radio call of some of these pre-season friendlies. I would think announcers need some training time also.

    Here's the starting lineup:

Andersen, Young, Perry, Spector, Powell, Ambrose, Kishishev, Murphy, Thomas, Bent, Johansson.

Subs: Kiely, Fortune, Hughes, Holland, Euell, Jeffers, Sam, Rommedahl.

Smertin will have to wait until the next friendly -- this Saturday at Brentford.

Here is a better list of the starting lineup and subs for the match. Some interesting switching around must have occurred.

    Andersen
Young (Rommedahl 46), Perry, Spector, Powell (Fortune 59),
Ambrose (Hughes 46), Kishishev, Murphy (Euell 46), Thomas
Bent (Sam 59), Johansson (Jeffers 46)

Actually a total of six changes plus players moving to other positions.

I would read that Kishishev slotted in the right back spot for Young. Spector slid out to left back as Fortune went to central defense.

And I wonder, did Euell actually play striker or did Sam?

Andersen, Perry, Spector, Kishishev and Thomas got the full 90 this time.
