If anyone wants some info, Charlie Kelman was called up to the upcoming U.S. U-20 camp next week. But since Southend and all of League One plays through international windows, the club hasn't agreed to release him as of yet. It hasn't denied the release either. In other words, it's under consideration

One way or another you have to think this is his last year with Southend. They currently sit in the relagation zone. Only Bolton is behind them with -8 points (Bolton got docked 12 points at the beginning of the season. They have four and to climb out of the relegation zone would need seven more. I have no clue what the best move for him would be. Probably to impress and have a lower level championship club take a flier on him. I know there were bites from EPL teams for their youth academies but is playing U-23 EPL better than just staying in the second to third tier? Many of those U-23 EPL guys end up transferring in full to the Championship or League One anyway around 21-22.
