Finally caught up with a February 9th "Open All R's" QPR podcast with QPR's (American) CEO Lee Hoos. A mention of Charlie Kelman was brief, but favorable. Will be interesting to see what QPR's offseason looks like. There won't be much money to spend. I suspect Kelman will get a chance with (relatively) new manager Gareth Ainsworth to earn a roster spot this offseason.
Well, Kelman gets a big start, apparently at the #10 role. However, Watford put up four first half goals and Kelman is pulled at halftime in a double sub that ends in a 4-0 loss. Maybe we should wait another week before promoting him? But technically, it's now. @bungadiri @TheFalseNine @dark knight
Kelman on the bench for QPR away to Boro at 10 am eastern. Charlie Kelman at Queens Park Rangers Also he can be promoted. @dark knight @TheFalseNine @bungadiri
We're super-thin and I suspect they would have sent him on loan had they been able to bring in more players than they did. Though Kelman did sub on earlier in this game, he appears to have dropped behind 18-year-old Rayan Kolli, who is still listed on the development squad on the QPR website, in the pecking order. Kolli has 6 appearances (all as a sub: 5 league, 1 cup) vs. Kelman's 2 (opening day start and 17 minutes on Tuesday). QPR plays Birmingham today.

He actually started the season opener as well, we just didn't promote him then. He also played several Championship matches for QPR in '20-21, but when they reorganized this forum the sorting hat put him in "Academy," probably because he was a Gillingham or Leyton at the time.
I don't know if anybody else noticed, but it was time for both a title change and a promotion for this thread.
