Charlie Davies is set to play in Sochaux's home opener. He's healthy and has thankfully been unaffected by the swine-flu scare. It is unknown whether or not he is starting.

been trying to think who Charlie reminds me of...

to me, he's a poor man's Ronaldo.....he's got those bullish/power + speed tendancies (but Ronaldo was better in prime)....some footwork to cut back here and there...(but Ronado was better in prime)..

but Charlie still young in soccer years. He might not become 'el phenomo' (who does?), but he could still become a top-flight striker.
He's got enough tools- just needs to keep refining, keep working hard, keep learning and stretching himself

His physicality and (increasing) strong goal scoring instinct is a very strong combination to succeed. He's a handful for an individual defender, since he can beat them with speed OR power.

Keep on, keep on Charlie. You are on the right track (with work left to go)

Not sure why this isn't instinctive to everyone who starts a gameday thread.

Sorry, had misread the earlier post. I read it to say he wasn't in the squad at all. (In fact, he's simply not in the starting 11.)

0-0 through 22 mins. Bordeaux with the better of it as expected, Plasil earns a corner.

30' Sverkos forces a nice save. Chuck would've put it home. :)
