Here is the teaser poster for the tew take on the classic book, with Depp as Wonka and Tim Burton directing (a combo that has never gone wrong). Needless to say, I am really looking forward to this one.
While I loved Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, this movie should do the proper job of telling a very dark dark tail.
According to IMDB, Helena Bonham Carter and Christopher Lee both are in it. Charlie is to be played by Freddie Highmore who is in Finding Neverland (as Peter Llewelyn Davies), which also stars Depp so I guess there is a connection between the two, which can only be a good thing.
I would assume then that Lee will play Charlie's grandfather. Wonder if there will be a trailer released during the holiday season? Most important, with the Umpa-Lumpas be politically correct?
SCREW JOHNNY DEPP!!! Trash talkin america but he has no problems taking american money and brining it back to France....He will never get a dime from me. Anyone going to his movies should have their head examined
Maybe it's just me, but I think the original was so near perfect that this one can only be subpar in comparison.
Hell yeah! Let's boycott all French products and businesses too! I love Bush! Oops. I meant to say, I love bush!
I think the first one was great, but as I understand it this version won't be a remake, but a retelling that is far more inline with the book.
