Charleston back on the road for a weeknight match against Real Maryland Monarchs on Tuesday at 6:30pm EST. The boys felt like they could have done better agaisnt Pittsburgh and I imagine they will be looking to improve and will take it out on Maryland. A few Battery fans should be in attendence for this on as well. Click HERE for information about the stadium and tickets. Mike Zaher may have cracked a rib Saturday, he had ice on it after the match and was told he could play but it was a pain tolerance thing. Falvey was on the sub bench on Saturday. with him making first tema honors last week, i would think he may have had a small knock. nunes came on a for a few minutes against the Riverhounds and imagine he will continue in the sub roll until he gets his match fitness back. you can listen to the match live locally on 950am or via the Battery website.
Andrew said, that the webcast will come straight from the station this time, so the static won't be so bad.
didnt listen last time as I went up to Charlotte but I normally cant get the radio in my house up this way and if I did it was pretty crappy. The internet feed is a big plus for me.
battery press release for the match http://www.charlestonbattery.com/matches_previews.asp?cid=447 start time is 6:30 with prematch at 6:15 via 950 AM or via www.charlestonbattery.com follow the Battery Twitter @chas_battery
okay little confusion with the start time. earlier press release says 6:30, email I got from the club says kick off at 7:30 now the release says 7:30, Hope the guys get the memo up there in Rockville, MD!
Do they bus it to Maryland? If so, what's the travel schedule, when do they actually get up there and do they spend the night?
I think so. Not sure. again not sure and I would think so. I would imagine they went up yesterday, spent the night, and will come back tonight on the bus. Maybe spend one more night but I doubt it. two hours till kickoff and back to listening to the match online!!!!
yes, they took a fancy sleeper bus with satellite tv and all the bells and whistles. They left Monday morning.
coming in loud and clear via the website for me. a bit tinny but i can live with that. injury report mike Zaher, cracked rib John Greunewald, injured from the CCC Mark Brigg, waiting international clearance
Battery applying some pressure. Maisse and Mayard with good chances should have been 2-0 according to Andrew
FT 1-0 to the Battery. Heineman with the goal. Maryland was really pressuring and Melia came up big a couple times tonight. Top the table!!!!
