So, with Heiney and Ant, we got two 6'4" strikers, that's a nice option to have. Will be especially useful if we're behind and we have to start lobbing balls into the box late in a game.
True, but what you have to watch out for is having two similarly-built strikers on the pitch at the same time. FC Bayern has found this out with Luca Toni and Miro Klose. Really, having two strikers that have skills to compliment one another is ideal. But I digress... We just need more goals.
Patterson will complement them well, as will Spicer if they keep playing him up top. With Armstrong coming from the midfield I hope we see some goals. Yoshi delivering some crosses and should be good for a couple goals as well. and watch out for our backs coming forward overlaping on the wings and during set peices. if they can get it all together I feel prettty good about the squad this year. Mikey
I am with ya, Mikey. I think the additions have been strategic and addressed need areas. Of course, losing Ozzie Alonso was a foregone conclusion I wish we could have avoided. While having a solid backline and good forwards are important, getting the ball crossed and in the attacking areas will be crucial for the mids and backs.
Yoshi provides a quality ball from the right side, so now that he is back, he's been able to train with the guys some.
