Here are a couple articles today on the Sunderland tour so far

    It's Tough - Newcastle Journal
Mostly talks about grueling weather in the Carolinas.

    Stateside Sidelines - Newcastle Journal
Feature style article on their stay in the States.

McCarthy fires up young Cats - Newcastle Journal
Mostly about the disappointment of wednesday night game being abandoned in the second half due to lightning, but hints at Saturdays what we can expect tommorow night.

    Charelston wins 2-1.

First half the Battery put on a great show. If they had played like that in half of our regular season matches, we would be at the opposite end of the table.

Second half both sides made quite a few subs and Sunderland played a very attacking game. Great and exciting match to watch. Near 200 Sunderland supporters in attendence from all over the US and England.

The Fan match earlier in the day was alot of fun but most of us are feeling the effects of it.

After the match most the Sunderland fans and players had a great time at teh Three Lions Pub.

I'll be posting some photos from the match later today.

    some press from the match.

Interesting to get the view from England. Great excuses by the coach. No wonder Sunderland went down. I consider MLS to be equivalent to English Division 1. If so, and A-League is like Division 2, and a D2 side defeated them, I wonder how the coach would respond. The excuses actually give Charleston and American soccer credibility. Keep it up!
