Saturday night at 7:30 est. The Three Lion's pub will be open at 3:30 for viewing the US/Ven match. Passes to the pub for the day can be purchased from the Battery for $15. Price includes food catered by Sticky Fingers BBQ (awesome BBQ by the way. Beer is extra.

For those that can't attend the match, it will be live via webcast by following this link http://www.charlestonbattery.com/webcast.asp

This should be a good match. Battery have a very strong side this year and our defense looks like it will be the number one in the A-league again. From all reports, the midfield is looking good and the fowards have dominated the College of Charleston, 3-0 and UNCC, 4-1.

How did both teams look? I've read that DC won 1 -0.

As a Battery fan, I thought we had a good workout. Defense pretty solid. Obviously attack needs to come together but that's to be expected this early in training. We had 3-4 good chances, should have finished at least 1. I thought DCU looked pretty good but their fans that were there did not. Of course, they know their team better and they've been training for several months, so, they have higher expectations. But compared to what we normally see in the A-league, it was an entertaining game for us to watch.
