What about taking a new song and making it ours? Something that is relevant in today's pop culture and pertinent to our predicament? Check the lyrics to Muse's Uprising. I know it is all over the radio and tv for various promo's but the lyrics speak to our situation with the RFO.

How would adopting this song improve relations between you and the RFO?

    HAH!

Every time we've tried it, two people sing and the rest look at us like we've grown a third head that's wearing an RSL scarf!

    G'Day...Ron :p

They have said they want to be able to hear the crowd sing and so if we sing ANYTHING where more than 20 people get involved that will improve relations. Or at least it can't hurt.

This would be awesome. Getting 500 people to sing the actual words of this song would be quite the accomplishment.:)

The NCC has been working on some songs as well. Check the link below. Now we don't really sing well but it is the effort right? Also, we had several Labrocca jams that will sadly go for naught:

Nice. The Utah chant killed me on Saturday. LMAO.

All in all, I thought there were too many chants going on, and most of the people around me couldn't remember them. Build a Bonfire, Glory Glory Colorado, and your R-A-P-I-D-S chant seemed to catch on fairly well though.

I rememeber a chant that used to be quite the classic back in the day, I think it was called "Ole Can of Burr"...i believe it was tradition to sing it at the 85th min. Has DSG been graced with the majesty of this song or has it died out :D

i've never seen this thread until now, but i've always sung Glory Glory Colorado to my friends (to the tune of Glory Glory Man United) and it was pretty cool to see that song referenced here.

i'm going to have my ears perked up at the next home game and try to sing along with the chants if i know them, are you guys handing out lyrics at the games?

First off, before we do anymore chants, we need to get some organization going. It's ridiculous having one side of the terraces singing "If i had the wings of a sparrow," and the other chanting "Rapids." We need someone to bring both sides together so we can be loud.

Also, we could modify this song to Colorado.

    And Its Colorado

    I like
And your right cohesion would make us so much louder
I missed the TFC because of work and caught the second half on the deuce you could tell when a group got singing together and it got real quite when there was multiple groups going, drowned each other out.

A bunch of people are working on trying to get the sides on the same page. Next match we hope to have some more obvious cues in place so everyone knows what song is about to begin. However, it was much better Sunday than against the Fire.

Originally a Pennywise song, DJ Paul Elstak turned it into an anthem for the Ajax and Rotterdam ultras:

Originally a John Denver song, Jon of the BSG is turning it into Colorado's YNWA. Replace West Virginia with Colorado:
