Chants, songs, etc. for MLS Cup Hey - Anyone have any good suggestions for songs, chants, etc. for this weekend's game? As a reminder, there are some posted at the Casbah website (http://www.thecasbah.org/songs.html), but we could probably use some Fire-specific songs and Jamil is probably in need of a verse or two himself.

In addition, I've jotted one down (rotten tomatoes welcome... ) myself. My goal was to have something like a fight song, team-, not player-specific, and easy to sing/shout loudly for longer than the average chant. Hopefully, if it's a little longer, it might even convince the East and West stands to join in. (Although Earth... Quakes... is tough to beat!) Any modifications, criticism, suggestion is welcome... if it bears any resemblance to existing songs, apologies in advance... This is just my opinion that I'm going to throw out there. And to be honest I know there will be those who won't listen. But here I go.... This game is NOT between the Quakes and the Galaxy. It's the Quakes and the Fire. I strongly believe that we should focus at those two teams. I know our rivalry with LA is strong. And we'll be in their stadium. But there's a game to be played that has nothing to do with the Galaxy. Can we just keep the chants and signage to the game at hand? This opinion has been stated elsewhere by other posters. So I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. Our boys are going to have enough problems with the Fire. Let's just focus on that.

I really wanna. The Supporter's Bash is more worth it than the Gala as far as I'm concerned. More fun. It's just that's it's gonna be such a long few days for me. Friday - 5am until 10pm (at the earliest, whenever we get to the hotel) Saturday - 7am until goodness knows when the bash ends Sunday - game day I need a break in there somewhere. And I really just wanna relax. This week has been stressful.

Re: Chants, songs, etc. Thought I'd bump that chant/song in honour of Erin going to the Gala. Tie one on for me, folks... wish I was there, too. I have a nice suit, but I can't wear it there. For obvious reasons. Will have to break it out next weekend-- for some work-related function.
