Not the first time NCU have been involved in some shady things https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ch...it-st-1026-20171025-story.html?outputType=amp
Right? Harder to play dumb than when the cutoff was Aug 1st! Plus with all the roster checks and BC/passport requirements you can't "accidentally" miss that. You have to intentionally submit a false BC or play under another name. FCU in a sad state. Even if their records are decent the fact that they have 10 players from another club and 18 PT players across their 17s and 19s doesn't sound healthy. Hopefully they can hold on to those younger teams and age them up otherwise the future doesn't bode well.
and yet -- same girls - same coach - all playing in state cup for 04 girls age group this Saturday - while they are rostered and have played da as well this year - guess cheaters do prosper.....
Heard they beat 04 TC in the semis with straight rugby tactics for those who have interest in the World Cup.
How are they able to play in a state cup game with NCU if they are listed as DA players with FCU. Can they be in 2 clubs? Why would rules allow that ? If you play prem 1, 2 or national league you can't play presidents cup. If you play with 1 club you can't guest play with a different club for State Cup. Mixed messages being sent by Illinois Youth Soccer IMHO to allow them to play this way.
Because the people at Illinois Youth Soccer are clueless dinosaurs - And NCU are experienced cheaters who know how to game the system - and as long as you are not playing god forbid High School Soccer I guess you can do anything you want in the DA. Under these rules I guess Eclipse and Sockers should have created a IWSL teams stacked with DA and ECNL players so they could get to the state cup finals too.
True - however - those girls only rostered with 1 club Eclipse - and as part of the pool they never played up the entire team. Here every NCU girl on that 04 team is duel rostered with 2 clubs playing both IWSL and FCU DA
Two different competition. Plenty of girls play NISL games on boys teams and IWSL on girls teams. Also seen lots of boys playing on teams in NISL and on a different team in YSSL. I do not think IYSA has anything to do with USDA. I would imagine it is frowned about by USDA but probably better than having a team drop or forfeit most of its games. Kids playing more soccer seems like a good idea.
I recall somewhere in the State Cup rules (admittedly from a bit ago) that you could not be rostered with 2 clubs at the same time and be eligible to play in the State Cup with one of those clubs. Those players playing for 2 clubs(not 2 leagues) at the same time were ineligible to play in the State Cup.
I think we are going to have to agree to disagree on that point. FCU fields numerous teams in IYSA in a variety of divisions and all players are rostered with FCU - regardless of where they play - DA, Pre DA, Select - so I would suspect those girls are rostered at 2 different clubs
But are DA players registered with FCU through the IYSA. Obviously the FCU teams that compete in IYSA events are registered with the state but I am not positive that the DA is even recognized by the state. Also there are plenty of occasions where a player has been on an IYSA team and then moved to a ECNL team or DA team without officially being released by their original team. Nothing the state can do if the player does not compete in IYSA teams for the new club or within the same club but in a competition that they do not regulate
Heard that there is one of the FCU DA girls on the team where a lot of these NCU kids and who’s father is high up in US Soccer. Wonder if there are things being brushed under the carpet to keep the team intact
There are 3 different soccer competition platforms here. 1. US Soccer: the governing body and runs the Development Academy. If you are a Part Time player you can play on other teams outside of the DA. The DA specifically restricts playing elsewhere without permission if you are a Full Time player. So if the girls are PT they can play for other teams. From the DA Rules and Regulations....DA Clubs may not permit any full-time Academy Player to participate on a non-DA team during the Academy Season. The only permissible soccer related reasons to miss Development Academy activities is National Team duty and YNT Identification Center participation. 2. US Club: runs ECNL and NPL. Girls registered here can only play for 1 club that participates on this competition platform. However US Club cannot prevent girls from playing on another club in the USYS platform. An individual club may have this restriction, but US Club cannot tell USYS what to do. 3. USYS: runs state cup, presidents cup, national league. The same holds true that USYS can restrict a girl from playing on different clubs within the USYS platforms, but they cannot restrict it across platforms. They cannot govern US Club or the DA. For ECNL competitions Eclipse used to regularly have "guest" players who were registered with another club in USYS. I am not sure if they still do. It was 1 very successful recruiting tactic.
Smart move by them. Playing in more competitive games will only make you better. Might as well take advantage of the system.
Some different names were in the state finals with Peoria, Inter and CSA. Don’t think anything club won more than one title.
3 local girls in the u20 wnt camp. That seems like progress https://www.soccerwire.com/news/u-2...roster-of-18-youth-players-4-college-players/
