All: Apologies for stretching the topic a bit, but I am a guest in your fair city. I am in Chicago on business this week, and I was hoping to find a venue to watch the Champs League matches in the evenings. I hope that there is a place where they show them on tape delay, or have some other arrangement (similar to Summer's in the Washington, DC area). I am not well-familiar with Chicago. I am working on North LaSalle next to the river, and I would prefer to not taxi my way about the city. But I know...beggars cannot be choosers. Any assistance would be appreciated!
Not sure about tape delay, but here's another thread on the matches: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=343343 Yeah, I had a feeling Globe would show replay if anyone would. It won't be hard to get to at all from the loop area, and it's the place to go.
Fado. Grand and Clark, about a five minute walk. It's Champions' League Central. http://www.fadoirishpub.com
The Globe will show the replay tonight. www.theglobepub.com. To get there, take the Brown Line to the Irving Park Rd. station, then go west for 1.5 blocks.
Thanks for the responses! I did see the other thread, but I cannot make the live broadcasts...it looks like the Globe for me... how crowded shall I expect it to be? I may not get there until after the match starts, will I be able to get in?
Screws Fados their TVs arent very good. I suggest you go to The Globe Pub On Irving and Damen. www.theglobepub.com
All things considered you'd probably be right but he was looking for a place nearby. The Globe isn't convenient for everyone always.
