The festive period saw Leeds win 2 and lose 2 and slip to 4th.

 

Leeds beat Norwich 1-0 at home. Heading in to the FA Cup weekend Leeds are still in fourth.

 

Leeds defeat Bristol 0-1.

 

Leeds thump Swansea 0-4. Southampton lost. Leeds up to second. No one's catching Leicester so, at the moment, Leeds and Southampton are fighting it out for the other automatic promotion.

 

Leeds beat Leicester 3-1. Still can't figure out why that 2nd LCFC goal was ruled out. I'll take the 3 points all the same. Ipswich are in 3rd only on goal difference. Southampton are now 5 points behind Leeds.

 

Leeds in second. Leicester and Ipswich have been struggling.

 

Leeds beat Millwall. Leicester were on FA Cup duty this weekend so Leeds are top due to goal difference.

 

Leeds split the points with Watford on Friday and today beat Hull City 3-1. The scoreline flatters Leeds. Hull put up a good fight.

A loss to Coventry and a goalless draw with Sunderland and Leeds are in second place. Ipswich play today so Leeds could be in third by the end of play. Leicester have a game in hand.

 

So.

Leicester lose. Ipswich draw. And Leeds lose. One point out of nine on offer from the last three games.

 

Leeds beat 'Boro. Two games to go.

 

Leeds get thumped by QPR. Leicester are promoted no matter what happens. Although Ipswich have a game in hand the last automatic promotion spot is still up for grabs. Rotherham are down. Huddersfield are as good as relegated. The final day should be great craic for all involved.

 

Last game of the season on May 4.

Ipswich are three points clear and play Huddersfield. Leeds play Southampton. Barring an Ipswich collapse it'll be the play-offs for Leeds.

One win their last five matches has Leeds in this spot.

 

Leeds finish the season with a loss at home to Southampton. A terrible run of form has left Leeds out of the automatic promotion spots.
