He needs to leave, it really becomes boring for him winning everything. Yet it's taking a toll on his future. The mistique of Real would do wonders for his longevity. The EPL is for hack not the creative kind, he gets hard fouled at least 30 times a game. Please who would want that.
But who would want to move from a team that is current Champions of Europe and back to back champions of the Toughest League in the world against the ever spending chelsea. Just to move to a team that hasnt really had any real competition in the league and has bowed out of the CL to a team that United beat 7-1? I see Ronaldo following the Path of Ronaldinho at this rate.
Real states that Van Der Vart may be their only signing. Ronaldo states he will not be at Man U's Team presentation. OK...what's the "Real Deal" Someone is Bullshitting.
Apparently SAF just said the saga is over and Ronaldo will be present this season for Manchester United.
Why would MU want a player, that was not interested in playing there?, That would be foolish, and tear apart a clubhouse. RM right now are at 85mil, and MU would probably let him go for 100mil. That's not a big difference, he would stand to make more then that in marketing that first year. So what's to say RM putting up 15mil on loan to CR.
Supposedly MU telling Ronaldo he has to stay at Old Trafford for one more year and that they will let him go at the end of this season. Since he still has a few years on his contract this seems to be a pretty fair deal for all parties. I really didn't think the RM offer was that high though, for 85mil I think they would be foolish not to let him go.
Real Madrid werent really willing to put their money where their mouth is nor were they going to pay it all upfront. Who wants a lesser amount when its paid in installments too? Plus part of ti comes down to not wanting to give into Madrid either.
this will be a interesting season for CR, now he hurt his rep with the man utd fans who were worshipping him last season- even when he wasnt at the games theyd sing his songs half the time... hell have to play real well and win back their respect
Your comparing apples to oranges. Sporting is used to selling young talent, MU are not. Like Real, MU are one the richest clubs in the world, and CR wants to leave.
CR no longer wants to leave. At least not for now. http://www.goal.com/en/articolo.aspx?contenutoid=808440
Here is the whole interview from the Manchester United website, so it's official people! http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid={6DDFCB6E-3471-4E45-9385-F04D05F4A70D}&newsid=6615554 Omg what? Ronaldo is staying, no way!! But I thought he hated Manchester United, he's ungrateful to us the fans, blah blah blah.... And these were some of the reactions of a few people! It's really sad to see the reaction of some United fans, I mean those who are all happy when things r running great & when they hear something they dislike they start criticizing for no reason! It was all about ohh what the club has done for Ronaldo, he is ungrateful, he doesn't respect the club who made him the player he is, well so what, all these five years Ronaldo has done nothing for the club? Is he the only one who benefited from playing for Manchester United? Is as if it was the first time we heard Ronaldo saying his dream is to play in Spain, it was obvious from day one that is what he desired, so as I said before it's no suprise to anyone that he wanted to leave! As he said, better to be clear than lie! Once again, Ronaldo never said he does not like playing for Manchester United, but as he said after winning everything, then maybe go to Real MAdrid for a new challenge & maybe win the CL wit them! Ohh also maybe its the fact that if he plays in Spain he might actually have a decent chance of winning World Player of the Year, Im almost certain he won't win it this year, or never as long as he plays in England, hate me for being realistic, but who knows the tables might turn! Hmm, he said that if he hadn't won the CL, he would of never thought of leaving United, now I know why he missed his Penalty lol! All these years Ronaldo has played for MANCHESTER UNITED, a RED DEVIL, and trust me his desire of playing in Spain was not absent, he still dreamed about it but did that affect his game in any way?? No! That's what I don't understand, if Ronaldo every day was there doing his job for United, why do some of the fans think that now he won't play as good for United? For the last time, Ronaldo has nothing against the club, so now that he's staying he will still play with passion and dedication! As long as he is playing football, he will always play his best! I mean he played for months wit pain & taking anti-inflammatory medication, & he knew that it was a good offer from Real, so it would be a good deal for him and United! When your job is done at one place, you move on. You climb the latter, not stay in one spot! Im glad Ronaldo is staying, I would love for him to stay until 2010, & then he can go where ever he pleases. It's going to be another blasting season, so United and Ronaldo fans get ready! U know when Ronaldo comes back from summer drama he really comes back! If everything goes well wit his surgery, expect another amazing season! I am ready for the new season, including my insurance card for all the heart attacks I am bound to have!
Well u know, the whole World Cup situation, that happened in the summer, so he bounced back & now after another episode of all the transfer speculation that went on this summer & the whole thing of "upset united fans" Ronaldo will bounce back again! I called it drama lol!
he's an idiot if he goes this season, he better stay, he still has 1 trophy to add then he can leave which is the intercontinenal cup, once he gets that he should go. Also that game between Boca and Milan pretty much sealed Kaka winning WPOTY so hopefully he does well. EDIT: also that is the only trophy Quaresma still has on Ronaldo
Can you really blame Man U fans for being upset? I wouldnt. I would probably be upset if he turned his back and refused to talk to Ferguson like he did for much part of the summer. One player is not bigger then the club and thats what Ronaldo was doing, he was putting himself before the club.
I've been a Manchester United fan ever since I could remember, and any time a player wanted to leave I would rather have him go than stay when his desire is to abandon us! Rather than be pissed off like some of the other fans who just don't know what to do when things go wrong, I thanked Ronaldo for all the services he gave to the club in these five years, and for contributing to the team in an unbelievable way especially for the past two seasons, and was glad he played for us! He won the Premierleague, FA, League cup, and the CL, so after doing this, I, since Im his fan as well can understand his personal desire to play for a club he has always wanted to. I despise Real Madrid, I can't stand watching them lol so I hated the thought of my favorite player to wear that shirt, So I should of been really devestated lol! This would of been a gain for both Ronaldo and the club in my view! Ronaldo did his job & wants to leave, and a great sum of money for Manchester United. The only fans that I had a problem with is those who came saying, "I never liked Ronaldo, I've been a United fan for years & now he just proved he is dissloyal to the club & is ungrateful to us for making him the player he is" Ohh yea? Well Im pretty sure these are the fans who were singing his songs and cheering every time he scored a goal so I think u could tell by my comments I can't stand some people's hypocracy! It did hurt he wanted to leave us, but I knew that was his goal. I knew as soon as we would win the CL, Ronaldo would ask to leave, it was no suprise, some of the other fans acted like they were in shock & it was the first time he said he wanted to go to Real! Ronaldo did put himself before the club, but can u also really blame him for wanting to leave? I know he was in contract, but that has not stoped other players from leaving in the past, and why should it stop them now? He received abuse from the English Press, abuse from the English fans apart from his own fans, everything added up for him to leave, but now he didn't & he's staying!
Everyone is betting Ronaldo won't score another 42 goals, although that does seem as a lot of pressure, they are basing this on the fact that he will miss a couple of games, but what happened last season? He didn't score against Reading, then got sent off against Pompey, missed another three games, & I can't remeber when he scored the first goal, but he still ended up wit 42 goals, so that theory is complete bullocks! If he recovers well from the surgery as so it seems, I think the critics will eat their words once again, who knows....!
it doesnt matter, ronaldo will always have critics before its, he doesnt score enough goals then he scores 23 goals then its he doesnt show up in big games then he scores 42 goals and a few goals in big games, then its like he doesnt dominate big games what will come next is anybody's guess.
Some people in these youtube videos from Euro 2004 say that they liked his style better than now... I know that now he is more of a complete player and a team player but back than I believe he just had this youthfulness to him, a very cocky attitude, I spoke to a friend about this and he said it was obvious back than he had the state of mind like "Im gonna break the sh!t outta you and embarrass you" lol now its just like very mature and good player but a entertainer either way, what do you guys think? From his style back than if you could describe it? and now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4LnE...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mErXr...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w60Yi...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8q7U...eature=related I personally love his Euro 2004 days lol
