At www.sigames.com You can look up where to pre-order CM 03/04. Release Date: 11/21/2003. Amazon UK has it for 23 pounds. But they don't ship to the US I believe. Gameplay.net ships to the US but its 27 pounds.
I'd hope so too. They are adding a Goal of the Month feature. Better scouting. Coaches will personally rank players. U21 and Schoolboy caps. Printing Updated Rosters (obviously) Easier Training Management Players might dislike each other and fight in the dressing room. The ability to Co-Own players. New ownership bringing in a cash infusion. (won't happen too often) Bug Fixes. Improved match engine (you can see the different weather conditions) More nations (43) and 100+ divisions. For a better list go to www.sigames.com I got the CM4 magazine w/ the big preview but I don't have it as I type this.
ditto. totally bogus. Have bought every CM for the last five years but I won't buy the next one. i thought CM 4 was a step down, anyway, not because of the bugs, but because i missed the words. sometimes you just got two or three of the 2D plays, and mostly just sat there waiting for something to happen. bye bye CM. i'll read a couple of more books every year.
Also, it seems that after CM 03/04, SI Games and Eidos will be parting company from each other. I wonder if either of them will re-obtain the MLS license for its next soccer management sim? -G
As far as I can tell it's not an MLS issue. Apparently it's Eidos being too scared of lawsuits from players.
Crap and Sh1te. I already pre-order now I'm contemplating whether to cancel or not. Damn you EIDOS. What's next removing the Brazilian and Argentinian leagues as well? I don't understand EU copyright law, but I know it has nothing to do w/ North and South America. Damn, ALL US Leagues, even A-Leagues. What a stupid decision by EIDOS. I know what went wrong, it was EA. EA possibly has something to do w/ it.
How can you tell that? And why would American/MLS players be any more willing to sue than English players? One wonders if the new game put out in two years by sigames will have MLS
I think British and EU copyright laws are somewhat different when compared to the US. I don't know what..but there has to be if SI hasn't been sued before.
Ironically, I had stopped by at the local Fry's Electronics store the other day and noticed that they're selling Championship Manager 4 on the PC game shelves!       Wasn't that game not scheduled to be sold on North American soil (not that I'm complaining, though)? -G
I think they were new copies. Fry's Electronics puts a used sticker on any product that's used, which I didn't see on those copies.       Strangely, though, the copies of CM4 there were in those protective plastic cases that are usually removed by the cashier... yet I didn't see those protective plastic cases on any other game on the shelves. -G
Could they be reselling CM4? Buying it new from the UK then selling it in the US. Technically that's legal...I think.
That's probably the case. It's pretty cool that the game can at least be bought somewhere in this country (although I wish they had done it sooner)! -G
