The Washington Post reports that John L. Richardson, the Chairman of the DC Sports and Entertainment Commission, is stepping down. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A10899-2003Jun18.html?nav=hptoc_m Does this have any impact for DCU's soccer specific stadium aspirations?
I'm not sure what it means. Might be good, in that the regime was so baseball-centric that the team apparently couldn't even get its calls returned. BUT, that regime also did do a few things to upgrade RFK that the previous DCSEC people didn't do...and for all we know, the next guys could be worse. This is a huge story for DCU, period. I hope they can have some impact on how it plays out.
